I need to get me one of those!

Shadami 12-05-2012 08:56 PM

rule zero? whatcha mean?

Quiet Man Cometh 12-05-2012 08:59 PM

Can't remember which edition it was written for, or if it was written at all, but is basically means "the DM makes the rules" or more diplomatically, "the DM has final say over the rules and disputes over them."

Shadami 12-05-2012 09:00 PM

the rulebook is a guideline and DM is god. don't fight with god or lightning kills you :D

Quiet Man Cometh 12-05-2012 09:05 PM

Pretty much. :)

Shadami 12-05-2012 09:05 PM

it was in the intro to DM guide 1st edition.

Shadami 12-05-2012 09:07 PM

.... i feel like a nerd T.T

Quiet Man Cometh 12-05-2012 09:18 PM

Ah. That would be my brother's area of expertise. I only have manuals to AD&D. I refuse 4th ed! Not happening! I have the manuals anyway by chance, but not happening!

Shadami 12-05-2012 09:22 PM

i have none of 4th edition. :]

i have ADnD and 1st and PM of 3.5

Quiet Man Cometh 12-05-2012 09:29 PM

Most of 3.5 you can find at d20srd.org given that it's open licence. The three main manuals are there, sans illustrations. It's an easy quick reference.

Kaguya 12-05-2012 11:33 PM

eww 4th edition, 3.5 for the win!

Shadami 12-05-2012 11:53 PM

i prefer first... ^^;; don't really play anything else.

Daigotsu 12-06-2012 12:22 AM

I... have no idea what is going on. XD

Quiet Man Cometh 12-06-2012 12:25 AM

The geeks are gathering. Pay no attention to them. ;)

Shadami 12-06-2012 12:25 AM

We're talking about Dungeons and Dragons :D

Quiet Man Cometh 12-06-2012 12:29 AM

Should I nice and make the door one they really can kick in or should my players have to solve some puzzle again to get through it?

My players don't really do plot.
