may you rest in pieces -bows-

not much left to do in the living room. just gotta pick up a few kitty things, vacuum where my coffee table holding my aloe once was, and wash down the heat vent cause kitties like spilling stuff on it for some reason..

also clean up around my pc >.> so many cords makes it look so messy..

too much to do.. -plays 3ds instead- ouo

Glitch 10-14-2015 01:34 PM

Ah I can never remember to use my 3ds . . . and now there's like another 3ds? so the one game i got excited to play on it -- i can't T_T

Appalachia 10-15-2015 06:07 PM

So, we just jump in?

3DS? I took mine off the shelf the other day and discovered a layer of dust on it. The hinge is broke and I'm afraid it's going to snap or something despite the reasonable side of me thinking that it's PROBABLY okay. I want the new 3DS, but unfortunately money.

Glitch 10-15-2015 06:26 PM

I don't play my current one enough to warrant getting a new one D:

Salone 10-15-2015 06:54 PM

I feel so bad for neglecting mine. Like I have tons of games I want to play, but I always find something on PC to distract me or I end up playing Henry Hatsworth again. My poor pokemon are so neglected.

Sei 10-15-2015 10:12 PM

I wanted a new 3DS, but only if I got the MM limited edition. I never could get my hands on one, so unless a bunch of new 3DS-only games come out, it's an easy pass for me. There are so many other games coming out that I want to buy instead!

Glitch 10-16-2015 01:48 PM

It's like this time I got the original psp with hopes that a video game would come out from Japan for it. It never did and I never used the PSP --- then it also became outdated haha.

Hey now! There were tons of good games for PSP. There was um...

Um...

Monster Hunter! Yeah! And uh...Patapon!

And maybe that one Quizzes and Dragons game in the Capcom Classics Collection. Yeah okay you got me there.

Appalachia 10-16-2015 02:17 PM

I play with my handhelds more than I any of my consoles. Easier to pick up and put down when you have such a small room. They also have more relaxing? I guess you would say, games that I enjoy playing.

Salone 10-16-2015 02:33 PM

Oh aye. On PC I'm always sweating it out on Endless Legend or Civ V, making sure I get that list of Wonders built before anyone else. But on DS? Pffft I can just relax while playing some Kirby, no real sweats. It's relaxing.

Severely less Shaka of the Zulus to destroy my empire of continent spanning proto-Soviets.

Glitch 10-16-2015 02:35 PM

I love my playstations ;^; i turn at least one of them on every time i come in the house XD Having a controller and a big screen is much more fun to me than a handheld. I can't even play games on my phone because I stress about the battery life XD

Salone 10-16-2015 02:38 PM

I miss playing stuff on my PS3, but it's mostly used for Rock Band now. I mean, I play Rock Band a lot on it, but that's all it's really for.

Oh and the occasional Operation Flash Point: Dragon Rising, because I hate myself just enough to keep going back to it.

PC is totally where it's at, though.

Glitch 10-16-2015 02:51 PM

I am playing the new Kings Quest game on my ps4 and uhm. Replaying a bunch of PS1 games like breath of fire3 &4 anddddd I'm excited to get all of these games:
brothers: a tale of two sons
cosmic star adventure
Dreams
persona 5
kh3
submerged
fat princess
ONIGIRI
Mirror’s Edge
last guardian
what remains of edith finch

ouo

I do not have a PC.

Tohopekaliga 10-16-2015 03:09 PM

Oh, I have a 3DS...somewhere. It's one with Zelda symbols all over it. For mobile gaming, I tend to use my Vita more (mostly Final Fantasy Tactics, or this slightly weird Sword Art Online game).

Glitch 10-16-2015 03:10 PM

How is that game? I almost wanted to get the vita to try it out. . .

Tohopekaliga 10-16-2015 03:15 PM

Which one? SAO? It has some problems, but the battle system is actually pretty cool. They went in and essentially figured out what the SAO game in the anime actually worked like, and implemented that.

The problems break down into: Translation, and the out-of-battle stuff.

The translation is atrocious. What the characters say is conveyed, for the most part, but you sort of have to interpret what they're saying, rather than taking it at face value.

Similarly, the tutorials are just help screens that point to different things and say what they do, and coupled with that translation means you pretty much have to guess wtf is going on...but once that's figured out, it's neat.

Out of battle, it's got some kind of crappy dating sim thing going on, with Kirito having himself a harem all vying for his attention. (Which is extra weird, given he's already married to Asuna at this point.)

Also, there's a new, updated version coming out for PS4 (or maybe already out), if you have one of those. I saw some clips of it. MUCH prettier.

Glitch 10-16-2015 03:19 PM

Hmmm is it only a graphics update or do you think they'll fix the translations? I don't mind a word or two but when it's a struggle to read the sentences I get really put off. I'll have to go look it up!

I am not a fan of Kirito flirting with all those other girls, but dating sims are a popular thing right now.

Tohopekaliga 10-16-2015 03:20 PM

Mostly it's Kirito being awkward around them, but when not in the renpy style scenes, you can hold hands and shit for some weird reason.

I haven't looked at the PS4 version much, I have the vita version, after all.

Salone 10-16-2015 03:33 PM

Translation. Oh boy, translation.

Back in the early 2000's there was a little known PS2 game out from Japan, a Tank verson of a Choro-Q based RPG. So you have these little tanks living in a little tank world and, yes, you play a tank. And the translations were simply horrible.

Horrible enough to lead to a rather unfortunate description of the M7 Priest. And some rather confusing mission briefings.

Glitch 10-16-2015 03:42 PM

Is that what inspired that game . . . World of Tanks?

Heheh...

Call me a turbonerd, but Seek and Destroy blew me away. I loved it. I wanted more tanks. I grew a sudden soft spot in my heart for tanks and wanted open world tank combat. This went on for years.

Suddenly, I see an advert for World of Tanks. At the time it was not announced for America (This was like, 2009). I was devastated. However, not so devastated that I wouldn't try. I broke out my Russian phrasebook and learned enough Russian to apply to their beta and get in. I was in love.

I need to go back and play it more. A lot of tryhards have taken it over, but the gameplay is fun and it's enjoyable to run around in tanks that never made it off the drawing board. While it's not hyper realistic, it's true enough to not feel too arcade like. And...and there are a lot of tanks.

Glitch 10-21-2015 05:02 PM

My cat decided to attack me today. I now have a big scratch along my throat. BF says it looks like somebody tried to slit my throat open. I'm hardcore! >3>

Gasp! Just in time for the season! Your cat is either really trying to help or has decided to sacrificed you so he can shed his mortal skin and reveal that he's really Toaxt'l the Blood Fiend.

Glitch 10-21-2015 06:32 PM

oh geez XD

you look so silly

Salone 10-21-2015 07:58 PM

I do not look silly! I am...er, in costume!

Obsidian 10-22-2015 01:26 PM

I laughed when I saw Josè. It was good that I wasn't drinking.

Fulkth 12-05-2015 03:02 AM

My husband called me Jose today. O.O
We don't even know a Jose....and I am not even a man! I am so confused.

Also, I am hungry so I am going to eat a snack. And then go to bed.

Goodnight all!

Lucid: 12-05-2015 03:09 AM

That's definitely weird...unless it was in the context of, "No way, Jose!"

Glitch 12-05-2015 04:02 AM

Lucid, that is what I was going to write too!

Fulkth 12-05-2015 10:36 AM

Good morning all!

I am having donuts and hot chocolate for breakfast!

Tohopekaliga 12-05-2015 12:00 PM

Delightfully healthy breakfast! :O

Fulkth 12-05-2015 12:03 PM

I can eat healthier tomorrow!

How does oatmeal and raisins sound? :P

Tohopekaliga 12-05-2015 12:06 PM

Sounds boring.

Well, no, oatmeal and raisins are tasty. Maybe with a dash of cinnamon. :P
