i most definitely agree with you!

Mek 12-02-2014 10:46 PM

So today my views on never wanting to work in payroll were firmly reinforced. Man, all the yelling they've got to deal with.

trystan830 12-02-2014 10:55 PM

the company that does our payroll is screwing up stuff. not good.

Mek 12-02-2014 10:58 PM

Ugg. In our case it was due to the woman who handles the stuff for my unit being sick at a important due date. Some of the girls who work a lot of OT play a precarious game with their tax withholdings. =\

trystan830 12-02-2014 11:01 PM

well that's not good.

also, our delivery service has gotten totally sucky over the last few months.

there's only 5 people who get payroll paychecks, so i don't think we can do direct deposit...

Mek 12-02-2014 11:02 PM

Awww. I love direct deposit... I can't wait until my husband hits six months at the job and can get it himself.

trystan830 12-02-2014 11:08 PM

oh i know! my other/weekend job has direct deposit... i love it too. =)

Mek 12-02-2014 11:11 PM

I hate having to go to the bank... though I only need to do it once a month, as that's as often as I get paid.

trystan830 12-02-2014 11:25 PM

i go to the bank because i don't have the ATM card - hubby does. i get paid every other week from both jobs, and hubby gets paid on the other weeks, so we have a paycheck every week. it's nice when you have bills to pay.

Mek 12-02-2014 11:31 PM

We both have ATM cards, so that makes it easier. And were fortunate enough to be able to charge all of our bills to the credit cards... we pay those completely off once a month, which means we only need to worry about paying the bills about once a month. Most of them are automatic.

trystan830 12-02-2014 11:37 PM

well that's cool. =)

Mek 12-02-2014 11:41 PM

Yeah. Things were much tighter back when I was the only one working and he was finishing school, but everything got better after he graduated and found work. Took him a year after graduating to find it, though - he was applying pretty much constantly too.

trystan830 12-02-2014 11:47 PM

my main job i've been at for 7 years... but i've lost hours because the economy and the government t-bill rates kinda suck, so we have less work. ugh. that's why i needed a second job. and hubby works a lot of OT too. our credit card debt needs to come down a bit.

Mek 12-02-2014 11:49 PM

=(

I've been at my job for about 6 and a half years now. I work in the public sector, and was fortunate to not have been laid off in the 4 waves they've had in my state over the last 5 years. Almost, once.

trystan830 12-02-2014 11:56 PM

i'm sorta passively looking for M-F 9-5, but at least i have the M-Th 9-3! so i'm not complaining!

Mek 12-02-2014 11:59 PM

I have a M-F 8-4:30. I used to have a 6-2:30 and I rather miss that. If I could, I'd do a 4/10 schedule.

trystan830 12-03-2014 12:02 AM

i'd rather go in at 9... and be done at 3, but get paid until 5. heh.

Mek 12-03-2014 12:17 AM

Heh. That would be awesome.

trystan830 12-03-2014 12:31 AM

better yet, stay at home, play on line, crochet (in my case)... and get paid! =)

Mek 12-04-2014 12:26 AM

I've been told that gets boring after a while. I myself can't manage longer than a week before wanting to be back at work.

trystan830 12-04-2014 12:27 AM

hmm, you may have a point.

well, i'd like to goof off and get paid for it. where do i sign up for that?

Mek 12-04-2014 12:28 AM

How about periodic moments with stretches of needing actual work done?

trystan830 12-04-2014 12:29 AM

sounds good to me!

Mek 12-04-2014 12:31 AM

Then you want to work right around where I do. xD

trystan830 12-04-2014 12:41 AM

or me. my Mon-Thurs job is slow enough...

Mek 12-04-2014 12:43 AM

I'm actually in the period where it's important I be at work, and this morning I found out this morning I have a kidney stone. So this month is going to suck big time, I can already tell.

trystan830 12-04-2014 12:46 AM

eek, that's not fun... any month!

Mek 12-04-2014 12:49 AM

Yeah, and this is my second one. I had one back in 2011 which so far was way worse than the one I have now.

trystan830 12-04-2014 12:52 AM

that's totally not good at all.

(in june and august i had a bladder infection. that was definitely NOT fun at all...)

Mek 12-04-2014 12:54 AM

Oh wow, yeah, I bet >.<

trystan830 12-04-2014 01:10 AM

btw, i meant to ask, what hairs do you have? i like it and want to see how i look with it.

Mek 12-04-2014 01:22 AM

I have Crimson Odessa Hair and Charming Coiffure equipped.

trystan830 12-04-2014 01:24 AM

ah cool, i'll see about checking 'em out.

Mek 12-04-2014 01:26 AM

I think this panda is starting to get a little too friendly.

trystan830 12-04-2014 01:27 AM

LOL! XD

Crystallyn Whisper 12-04-2014 06:09 PM

What a cute little panda. ' w' Looks like it's full of hugs and snuggles.

trystan830 12-22-2014 10:59 AM

*pokes thread to wake it up*

or is this like one of my other forums, where we turn every thread into a chat thread? LOL!

Belial 12-31-2014 02:36 AM

I had Macarons for the first time today.
I am a huge pig, but I can't believe what I was missing out on.

Coda 12-31-2014 03:22 AM

Disneyland has huge raspberry-rose macaroons.

THEY. ARE. WONDERFUL.

trystan830 12-31-2014 12:08 PM

i'm not a fan of macaroons, actually.
