finished my book i was reading... and started my NaNovel. *stared at screen, wondering where today's writing will take me*

Lawtan 11-03-2014 10:28 PM

To the Moon!

Yokuutsu 11-04-2014 11:10 PM

Me too. - A-; It's a good thing I remembered Nox a couple days ago. So glad I didn't miss it.

Yokuutsu 11-04-2014 11:17 PM

I just happened to see the announcement so I played the games.

What are the raffle tickets for?

trystan830 11-04-2014 11:55 PM

i just found this site the other week.

the raffle tickets are for...anything on the site, apparently, including old DIs and stuff.

Coda 11-05-2014 12:34 AM

Sei's running a daily raffle over in the event forum.

Rem 11-08-2014 10:26 PM

Ah yay Nox, always my favorite celebration

Him 11-08-2014 11:08 PM

Wow I missed out on a lot of things. O.O

trystan830 11-09-2014 02:59 PM

i'm finding i quite like Nox.

it coincides with NaNo, so i'm not on Tris all that much though.

Him 11-09-2014 04:12 PM

I honestly have no idea what you just said right now. xD

trystan830 11-09-2014 04:22 PM

Heh, it's okay. November is NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month: write 50,000 words in a month. So I'm doing that this month. It's the blue counter in my signature. :)

Him 11-09-2014 04:27 PM

Oh wow that's really cool! :o Good luck with that! Hope you make that 50,000 words. Seems like a lot in a month.

Tiva 11-09-2014 08:58 PM

It is… you have to write about 2k a day.

trystan830 11-09-2014 10:10 PM

thanks Eros!

well, if you write 1,667 words in your story every day in November, you get to 50k on the 30th.

i write in surges when i know where my story is going, and try to remain above the par for each day.

part of the idea behind NaNo is to get writers in the habit of writing something every day. it doesn't work for me - i write from Nov 1 until my story's done... then i write again the next Nov 1. LOL!

Him 11-10-2014 01:43 AM

Heh! Well at least you know what direction you want to take this story. What's it about?

trystan830 11-10-2014 11:07 AM

well... sorta. ;)

this is a series of five stories; three about people wanting to go back in time to change something about their past. the first one is about a guy going back in time to live in an earlier time, the last one is the guy's descendant going forward in time to see how (or if) my first future had changed.

Him 11-10-2014 01:52 PM

Sounds rather interesting to say the least.

trystan830 11-10-2014 01:53 PM

thanks! i always think my NaNos are interesting. =)

Coda 11-10-2014 05:22 PM

I pulled a similar stunt with my successful NaNo -- I stitched a frame story around multiple short stories.

trystan830 11-10-2014 05:28 PM

this is the first year i'm doing it that way. my first two (in 2011 and 2012) were romances; last year was a time travel one-story novel. this year is my first series-of-short-stories novel. i'm liking it.

Him 11-10-2014 07:14 PM

I could never do a romance novel. It seems rather cliche don't you think?

trystan830 11-10-2014 07:19 PM

not really. i think i did them pretty well. i still have the link to 2012's Lost Angel in my google docs, if you're interested.

The irony of your username is delicious.

Him 11-11-2014 01:12 PM

@trystan- Perhaps but since the semester is slowly coming to a close, I find myself losing free time so I wouldn't be able to read it. Maybe after the semester is over.

@Coda- Yes good. I realized that after I posted it and then I wonder, is anyone else going to notice?

that's fine... just PM me here on Tris when you're ready. =)

Him 11-11-2014 05:38 PM

Alright then. Thank you!

trystan830 11-11-2014 07:03 PM

you're quite welcome! =)

edit to add: what hair style(s) are you wearing?

Him 11-11-2014 09:10 PM

My hair is comprised of three parts:

-Basic Soop bangs
-Basic stylish hair
-Basic Ermine extensions

trystan830 11-11-2014 09:22 PM

ooh, i'll have to check it out and see how they look on me. =)

it's really weird, that some things on avis look good, and other things just don't look right. i hope that makes sense...

Him 11-12-2014 01:00 AM

No that makes sense. I wish tris has like a menu where you can put stuff together and preview it. I dont think they have one at least.

trystan830 11-12-2014 01:06 AM

yeah... it's kind of awkward just seeing the one item on a nekkid avi, instead of what it looks like all together, like an avi preview maybe?

Coda 11-12-2014 02:36 PM

Previewing an item on your current avatar is a long-term goal that we want to do but isn't easy with the way our backend currently works. I've got plans but I've also got bigger fish to fry.

trystan830 11-12-2014 02:40 PM

thanks Coda. good to know it's on the "eventually some day" list. =)

Him 11-12-2014 07:22 PM

Oh sweet, looking forward to that then. :B

Crystallyn Whisper 11-12-2014 10:43 PM

*sprinkles some glitter on Eros' flower* Now it's super pretty. ' w'

trystan830 11-12-2014 10:58 PM

oooh, glitter! pretty!

Crystallyn Whisper 11-12-2014 11:00 PM

I got some sparklies for you too. *bedazzle's try's pumpkin*

trystan830 11-12-2014 11:14 PM

ooh, sparkly pumpkin! thanks Crystallyn! =)

Crystallyn Whisper 11-12-2014 11:18 PM

You're very welcome. :3 It does my spooky heart good to see people happy with my sparklies. - w-
