I meow at our kitten sometimes...but mostly I just say whaaaaat in a higher pitch sing-song voice...I'm pretty sure that's what he thinks his name is...

I talk to my cockatiel in a soft, high voice. For some reason it helps calm him down because he isn't used to hands yet. He's improving with time though.

They're great companions, but you have to be absolutely sure about committing to them for a long time. Cockatiels live for up to 25 years, and some parrots live over 100.

My daddy wanted Tiki...so we got him...but really he's one of the few small bird types that will literally cuddle...he will also be able to minimally talk eventually...

My grandma had a parrot. He was so mean to my mom. Lol.

Some birds will only bond with one person...Conures have the ability to bond with multiple people...

He loved my grandma, but when my mom got to near he'd freak out. xD He once got out of his cage and chased my mom. She wasn't too happy about that. xD |

We used to have an Iguana...his name was Bubba...He eventually got to big and we had to give him away to a nice pet shop that wanted a new large one...But he would ALWAYS use my mom as a bathroom... |
