See, I don't know if I could watch a horse race. I'd feel too bad for the horses. =/

I'm sure if there is a bond between rider and horse that they horse would find the race enjoyable. If you put competitive horses next to each other they will want to race rider or no. |

I don't know how to feel about horse races. On one hand, I know that the horses are usually treated extremely well because some of them are worth a million dollars or more and they're a huge investment. On the other hand, I've seen horse races where the horse in absolutely panting and frothing with sweat aferward, and that can't really be healthy.
On the other-other hand, though, I've been to horse ranches where horses left out in the pasture gallop around to the point where they're panting and frothing with sweat there, too, and no one pushes them to do it. |

My favorite horse is not a race horse, but a draft horse. Clydesdales are awesome and powerful. |

Fluffy; Yeahh. I feel the same way. I've heard of them being treated very well, but they don't have a typical horse life-span. They usually retire at a young age and are left with medical issues. =/ They may be treated well, but they go through way too much for a typical horse. |

My favorite horses are Appaloosas and Friesians.
One breed that can be found in numerous color combinations and coat patterns, and another breed that's only found in one. xD |
Pretty good. Planning a big birthday bash for me-self this weekend.
Unfortunately my friends were too busy to come early enough for horseback riding so I had to cancel that. *Sigh* oh well. We're all beginners so we wouldn't have had to go faster than a trot [if that] Well I'm not exactly a beginner. I've ridden several times before but I've not had many lessons |
