Well, I have the paper, just nothing I could use as a sturdy cover for it. I don't want a flimsy cover because I don't want it to fall apart. x'D And then I'd need glue, totally not using my glue for putting together minis. .-.

if you have boxes, you've got stuff to make the cover with, and if you have an old bedsheet or an old blouse that you no longer wear or is too damaged to donate to charity, you can make a pretty cover.

And you don't need glue to put a book together. I've got ones bound with an elastic band. Like the one from veggies. Yarn works well. String is great. Even an old safety pin/diaper pin works.

Hey, Law, we're challenging you, too! XD

I don't have a box to use for that, and I'd rather use glue because I want to be able to use it without it falling apart. o////o

I have a book I've been working on that's entirely sewn together, if you space the stitch holes far enough apart then it won't fall apart.

Yes. Glue's actually the worse thing to use for a homemade book.

I wish I still had that cute little book made from a Mentos box. It was so neat.

I don't remember seeing it if you did...

@Den
I could do that, with the sewing part, but I'd still need something to make a stiff cover because I prefer hard covers over soft. ^^;

Cereal boxes work. :)

Tam I am 05-25-2015 02:19 PM

Yup. Cereal boxes are great. I've even seen books made from cereal boxes, with one short edge being the spine of the book.

Den, remind me, and I'll look up the picture of the little book.

lol still not seeing the problem. Unless it's a cereal that you don't like, in which case, yeah, that could be a problem. lol

ml1201 05-25-2015 08:35 PM

I have other things I bought first that has to get ate. They are a frozen thing and I'm not using part of a box that had gotten wet. .-. I don't want to get a moldy book since we have a mold problem here. >>;
