we're snail whispering now?

Needs hair cut big time. I'm finding split hairs all over my head, prabably thanks to the pills I take. I'm about ready to do it myself. The last time I had my hair cut it was $70. $70!! I'm broke! and I just wanted trim! WTF! It looked nice. Apparently she said she had to straighen my hair in order to cut it evenly. Tried to get me to colour it too, and get a manicure, and my eyebrows done. I can do my own eyebrows thank you very much. >.<

Reyoki 06-21-2012 09:34 PM

o.o *has never gotten eyebrows done*

Kira Bella 06-21-2012 09:36 PM

Im going tomorrow to get mine done. 10 bucks for a waxing done at my local salon. Asian ladies do it fantastically.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-21-2012 09:38 PM

I would never bother, but tidyign up stray hairs is easy enough. My sister is a make-up artist and took it upon herself to improve my sense of style. For highschool grad she got me a gift back with simple make-up essentials (liip gloss, mascara, blush, and three shades of eyeshadow) and tought me how to to a 10 minute all purpose tough up. It's been handy actually. She then had her friend do my eyebrows. He was fantastic at it, and she told me just to leave what he did and pluck out the short hairs as they grew in. It's worked great. I know the shape I want and just pull out the little guys that are popping up in the wrong spot. They aren't styled, though I do get asked once in a blue moon if I do pluck them.

I wish there was a cheap salon around here that would do a reliable job, if not good. I'm related to two hairdressers as well but I know my sister in law is busy and doesn't like doing hair and my make-up artist sister (the other hair dresser. She's all purpose!) lives away from me. I also don't like to badger people to do things they'd rather not do. My mom can cut mine but it takes so long to get around to it I think it will be worth my time just to do it myself and hope the curl in my hair hides any uneven things.

Kira Bella 06-21-2012 09:44 PM

Do you guys have a great cuts around you? They do it for like.. 12 bucks. A simple trim. Just wash your hair before hand, and head over. Let them spray it with water and what not, and trim it up for you. I have NEVER paid more then 40 dollars for a hair cut, and that was for a singing comp...

Demonskid 06-21-2012 09:48 PM

i cut my own hair

Asami 06-21-2012 09:49 PM

Asami wants to play windwaker now I:

Quiet Man Cometh 06-21-2012 09:50 PM

Unfortunately no, not that I know of. I live in a fairy hoity-esque area. Independatly owned salons would be more common. Our corner store has a business card.

And no one wants my 3 silver ribbons? They are wasting away! Please take then!

Kira Bella 06-21-2012 09:53 PM

Q-Manny - I think you should give them to someone selling them in the market? They might have enough to buy something if they combined :3

<-- Kira needs a nap. This kid is wearing me out today. GROW TOO FAST!

Quiet Man Cometh 06-21-2012 09:57 PM

Well, when I wash my hair, I can see where at the bottom it's a dry tangle no matter whatn I do to it, so I figure I'll just wash my hair and then chop off the tangled dry mess at the bottom.
