Really? It's not that hard Duce. I am the manry-est of men! |
I haven't even been to a pool since I was fourteen, honestly. XD Not terribly buoyant then. My brother had to always swim out to save me- I'd end up paddling my way to the deep end; all sorts of slow and fine; but then I wouldn't have the strength to swim back.
I wasn't a weak kid. Just..small. Very small. I wore clothes for a two year old to kindergarten. |
I love swimming, but I prefer night swimming in a nicely lit pool. There's something about swimming in the calmness of a nice summer/fall night that just relaxes me. *nodsnods*
|
Oh my that sucks Duce, but you must have been cute as child. Sei, you are so right I used to do that a lot back in the PI and in Japan. I am the manry-est of men! |
I haven't done it in a while, but man, that sounds really good right about now. Especially when you have a bit of company. >.>;;;
I'll save you, Duce! *swims out and saves him* <3 |
I approve of the mer-look there, Nikko. :3
And I love swimming, too. Especially in the ocean and stuff. It's been forever since I've been scuba diving, however. :( A couple months since I went for a swim... |
I used to like swimming in open water, but as I grew up I became content to sail over those open waters. I used to study marine biology as a kid and some of the stuff I learned freaked me out. It's not a phobia per say, but I am definitely cautious. I do like whales and dolphins, though, even though I wouldn't be caught dead (hah, no pun intended) swimming with orcas. Dolphins'd be cooler and more fun.
I am, however, afraid of scuba diving. I've never been, but being 'trapped' underwater due to the need to rise slowly and being surrounded on all sides by water more than just a few feet deep... I just can't stomach it. /).(\ |
:) I find marine biology fascinating. There is some crazy stuff, but it doesn't deter me, really.
Dolphins, for instance. By human standards, they're crazy fuckers. Literally. XD But they're so pretty, and all around amazing, I don't mind. |
*Saved- clings to Sei.* Thanks for rescuing me! I'm really tiny. I'd die in the waves. My heeerroooo~~*Swoons all girly and stuff.*
|
I love marine biology. Well, that and marine paleontology, to be more precise. The ocean has just been so amazing, creepy, and interesting all through history (after the Cambrian explosion, of course). *nodsnods*
*clings to Duce* You're welcome, good sir. I am here to assist! :'D |
Thanks, I was aiming for something new. XD lol Yay save him Duce~ I am the manry-est of men! |
I mostly look at extant species...It's quite amazing the variety there is in the sea.
(And they provide excellent inspiration for various things I've drawn in the past.) It's just a hobby, reading about stuff...I'm a software engineer, after all, not a biologist. But I'd like to think I have learned more than most people. |
That's really cool, Toho. I'd like to share our findings sometime. It's a very interesting topic to talk about, but very few people share my enthusiasm. >.>;;
|
Everyone learns more then others, though I think my self rather stupid. I am the manry-est of men! |
Nikko, you are not stupid. xP
...just because others learn more doesn't mean you learn less. Everyone learns what they can handle. There will always be someone who learned more than you did. *nodsnods* |
I learn slowly. I have a dyslexia problem, ADHD, assburgers, and some other crap. But I read a lot- and since I have to read most things over and over to understand what they say, I tend to retain the information better once it's in there. XD
*Hanging off Sei* I..I may not be able to walk for a while...you..should carry me. <_< >_> |
That is true, people will always learn and you're right, people keep information more then others. But I will live, I am the manry-est of men! |
You know things nobody else does, and you will always know things, perceive them, and understand them in a way purely unique to you- so regardless of what information you retain, you have a unique collection of thoughts and information all to yourself, that nobody will ever have as long as people exist.
|
-nods- That is true, and silly fun facts most people don't know about also. I have this niffty things where we go driving and I have to sit up front for it to work well, but take me someplace once and I can find my way back to it. I am the manry-est of men! |
I know all kinds of stuff!
...But I rely on my phone to tell me how to get everywhere that I haven't driven to repeatedly before. XD ...And most of that stuff is pretty useless. Oh well! |
See, that's friggin' cool. I can't even give directions to my local park, and it's only like....five - twelve streets down from my house. XP
|
I never knew why I could do it, but I could my mum dad would take me places they would forget how to get there after a while I would have to tell them how to get to it. But it was nice thing to have. XD I don't know how use the thing on my phone it makes me mad and annoyed. I am the manry-est of men! |
I am really bad with directions. I navigate by landmarks, rather than by street names. I rely on my GPS for even simple things that are not part of my regular driving route. xD
|
Your gps thing? IT confuses me because I don't get to go to places typically, so I end up forgetting how I need to go about setting it up. And then the directions are usually wrong anyhow.. -.-;
|
iPhone has Google Maps on it. That's what I use for my directions. :)
...And Egads! It's late. I really should be sleeping... Night, everybody! |
I don't understand GPS, so yeah it pisses me off in the end. So I just remember street names or something that look important and hope for the best. I am the manry-est of men! |
I just don't use my phone for much more than internet, texting, and music. So I mess up a lot of stuff when I try to do it. XD
|
I would swim everyday if I could. Heck maybe then I wouldn't have this weight issue. xD But I can't sadly.
I'd love to live in one of those fancy beach homes with an outdoor/enclosed heated pool. Night swimming sounds like so much fun, specially when there's a nice warm breeze so it's like the water is your blanket. (oh and late response is late) |
I remember I used to float a lot..but the last time I got to go to a pool was soooo long ago..was a field trip though, to a water park. Was nice. I got stuck in the wave pool though.. XD
|
My cellphone uses Google's GPS, and it's usually pretty accurate. *nodsnods*
|
-hasn't upgraded to any fancy phone- I still use a flip phone for pete sakes. xD
|
I dunno what gps mine came stock with..*Looks* ...It just says navigation..but I think it uses google maps.
|
It probably does. Especially if it's an Android phone. *nodsnods*
|
Yeah, one of the Droid X's, and it's the second 'body' I've been through. XD First one got this WEIRD vertical banding across it, which got worse when the phone got a little cold. Couldn't see ANYTHING on the screen through it.
|
I still have my Incredible 2, and it still works decently. *nods*
|
Hate you so much. XD
I'm already having so many problems with my phone again. I think it's mostly to do with the fact that I overuse it, never turn it off, hardly reboot it, don't let the battery die, and treat it like a computer. |
Sorry, Duce! >.>;;
Yeah, that's usually a big problem for a phone. They need more rest than a computer, from what I've observed. *nodsnods* |
So suffice to say, I punish the hell out of the poor thing. LoL
|
As do I, it's sad, I treat mine like a computer but I hardly turn it off. But I also have dropped it also. I am the manry-est of men! |
LoL WHen I drop mine, everything falls out of it. XD battery falls out, cover shoots across the floor..it's madness. XD
