Hell of a walk to get back there, though.

Sora 08-20-2012 01:29 AM

Okay, my wireless mouse really needs to stop losing connection every five minutes. It's getting really annoying.

Duce 08-20-2012 01:35 AM

Sora: Your batteries are dying.

Toho: Too true, too true..though it would have been exactly the same distance if I'd have turned around and came straight back. Mind bender~ 8'D

Reaper: Why of course. *Hands the scraggly thing to him.*

Sora 08-20-2012 02:12 AM

They're brand new batteries and the icon on the computer says they're full power.

Graceful Reaper 08-20-2012 02:14 AM

Yes!! :D *Uses super glue to glue it on his chin* ..... I'm starting to think this was a bad idea..

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 07:14 AM

Good morning =) How is everyone?

NeonSynth 08-20-2012 07:50 AM

Good Morning!!! I am fine been up all night like usual XD

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 07:51 AM

I have been staying up all night lately and sleeping when the sun rises lawl :P

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 08:18 AM

NeonSynth 08-20-2012 08:20 AM

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 08:21 AM

I have been offline for a long time up until a few days ago . . . how do the eggs work on Tris?

NeonSynth 08-20-2012 08:28 AM

no clue joined the site a few days ago wish i could get an egg as well but no clue how to get the runes i think you can buy some or donate but i dunno about the eggs!

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 08:34 AM

I found a thread about it. Yeah, if you donate a dollar you get ten runes, which is enough to buy an egg. After buying it, you use it and it opens up with a set of randomly selected items. There's only a few "random" sets it can come up with though.

You look pretty good for being new!

Sora 08-20-2012 10:07 AM

I don't want to go to work today. Dx

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 10:19 AM

I rarely want to go to work in the morning. :( I think it is part of the whole "job" thing.

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 11:20 AM

Where do you work?

Sei 08-20-2012 11:20 AM

It's a requirement for being hired. *nodsnods*

I work for a software simulation company. :)

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 12:11 PM

Now that sounds awesome. What do you do?

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 12:41 PM

I sit in a grey fabric box and type things all day. :P

More generally, I work on a web application (a Flash thing with a Java server giving it data) for training the desk jockeys who coordinate disaster response. Really crazy scenarios...with very boring user actions.

Sei 08-20-2012 01:20 PM

That sounds so awesome, Toho. I wish I had a job like that. xD

Duce 08-20-2012 01:26 PM

I work in a sandwich shop. The assistant manager of such. DX I should have forced my way through pastry arts..but that's at least eight hours a move from here..and I don't even own a car yet..-_-;

Also- Good afternoon! I just woke up after a wonderfully weird and intricate dream.

GOD I need to roleplay stuff so my brain cleanses...I haven't been writing enough..

Sei 08-20-2012 01:34 PM

DUCE! *tackles*

I always want to roleplay, but by the time I get to, I never follow through. It's a bad habit of mine. I do enjoy it, though.

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 01:38 PM

I used to RP all the time, constantly. Although in the past couple years, I've done it very little.

:) My job is good, definitely. But describing it always makes it sound much cooler than it really is.

Sei 08-20-2012 02:06 PM

On the topic of roleplaying, I miss playing some D&D with my old friends. We never did it 'officially,' but man, that was the closest I've ever come to laughing so much I couldn't breathe.

Duce 08-20-2012 02:10 PM

*Catches.* Hello there Sei~

I don't often get a chance to, but I always try to exercise the ability. Haven't been able to play with my favorite RP buddies recently, but on the rare occasion..I get to. And it's wonderful.

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 02:10 PM

I play D&D and similar games in an IRC group weekly these days, and that's about the only roleplaying I've done in quite a while.

Sei 08-20-2012 02:35 PM

An IRC group that plays D&D? That's awesome! :'D

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 02:45 PM

Yeah, it's fun. :) Really, really slow-moving, though. D: It takes a LOT of sessions to get through things, because people are slow, and we're not all sitting around a table staring at each other.

Sei 08-20-2012 02:58 PM

Aww... that's almost half the fun. I'll have to try and get everyone together when I go home next. Although I don't know if it'll be the same; we're all much older now. Dx

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 03:02 PM

That just means that it's "Sitting around a table, staring at each other while drinking beer." :P

And yes, D&D does lose something when it's not in person, but it's hard to find a group for that. (Especially when not very sociable.)

Mal Kapwn 08-20-2012 03:19 PM

I am the operation's manager of a family run restaurant -- and though I only work 40 hours a week, Friday and Saturday are both 12 hour days and dang will that feel like a long time.

I haven't played D&D in forever.

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 03:30 PM

12 hour days are killer. D:

Sei 08-20-2012 03:35 PM

I can seriously relate. Some of my days are in the range of 14-16 hours. @w@;

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 03:37 PM

D: Geh. That's...terrible. Impressive to survive a work day that long, though.

Duce 08-20-2012 03:52 PM

I used to work upwards of 60 - 65 hours a week between two locations, but then they decided that I wasn't allowed both- and now I'm back to the one. And on occassion, the boss lady gets a tick up her butt and decides I'm only getting 30 hours that week. -.- for perhaps three months in a row...and pretends we're alright. So that's fun.

BUT RIGHT NOW WE'RE COOL SO YAY. *Runs away to such.*

Sei 08-20-2012 03:52 PM

Well, I work at a catering facility so our hours are by nature flexible and depend on the length of the party. Sometimes we're there early in the morning to finalize the event, work the eight hours of the event, and then have to flip it into another event when that one ends around midnight. Lots of changing details and heavy lifting. xP

Tohopekaliga 08-20-2012 04:05 PM

o.o Well...that just makes me glad I have a desk job. XD

...Though, I kinda wish I could just work at the summer camp I used to work for. That was a lot more fun.
