his smile softened and spread as he took a kiss of his own and wrapping his free hand around felix's he led them towards the freshly-made bed, "i think i know just the one, how about the trials of hercules? it has been much too long since i have told those stories"
Nodding he followed the others siren call into the bed and on to his pectoral pillow. He had forgotten how small the bed was until he had to curl his legs around Zosas to keep them from dangling off the edge. "Those were always my favorites, though I do not think we can wrestle in this bed."
"no, probably not," he agreed as felix relaxed against him, "but zyats isn't likely to come for storytime tonight, if you get plenty of sleep then tomorrow we can go 'wrestle' outside where noone will bother us"
With that promise he fell asleep on the smaller bed and at some point curled around the words the other spoke so the draft would not touch his feet. When he woke that morning he slipped out of the comfort before the other arose and went down stairs expecting to find the roll of risen dough ready for the oven, instead he found 3 other women busy about the large kitchen. They peckishly gave him strange glances as he integrated himself to make breakfast.
(He will either have been shooed out of the kitchen and is outside in the trees or he will have a crowd around him as he makes breakfast with the gossiping house maids ) |
he woke to the sound of felix opening the door and closing it again. sitting up he checked the time only to realize that in his excitement his watch was wrong. looking up at the clock in his room he reset it and went to find clothes. once dressed he came downstairs to find felix busy making bread with auntie and the maids and taking the sight as a sign slipped out of the door and headed for town to go get the boat rented
back in about three and a half hours will be dropped off XD he has keys to something and will give them to felix. if felix asks he will be silent but will give kisses XD) |
He had not seen Zosa in a while. Starting to get worried, The professor retreated to the upstairs where he was ambushed from behind and given soft kisses between his shoulder blades. Before he could inquire about the long absence, Zosa dropped something heavy in his hands that jingled. Any question he asked was only met with soft happy pleased kisses. Eventually he gave up grinning himself and leading the boy back down to the busy room to take their breakfast outside. He fed Zosa the freshly made bread under the shade of a tree. "Zosa... now will you tell me what is going on... is this a house key?"
still mute he only offered a coy smile and pulling the spicy fingers over gave them soft kisses. he did not realize until the other twisted the slim digits that he was not wearing gloves yet tasted of breakfast baking. he raised a brow, "no gloves?"
He grinned. Though his own question was avoided he answered Zosa's with a kiss near the others ear. "I can't make bread with love if I can't touch it." Offering another kiss his grin grew. "Besides your Aunt was very curious about the orgin of our wedding bands." He said holding up the slender fingers. "Do not worry for the moment she thinks my hands are paste."
looking at the tattooing he wondered if felix divulged the marks on him as well though he did not ask, "when we are done eating you can see your suprise, we also need to go visit and pray for mother and lykus today since we did not last night
He made sure to wrap some of the bread up, and once they had cleaned made their way down to the beach. He didn't have much to say to the mother and even less to the man who came before him, but he still did what made Zosa happy. Walking between the trails of candle smoke he reached out and held Zosa's hand as they made their way down to where ever Zosa wanted them to go.
felix was quiet but he was too and so did not question it. walking hand in hand down the beach he led the other down to the docks, as they walked he felt the other tense up some and by the time they made it there the other was holding his hand tight enough to bruise and had a wide grin. he could not help but smile as well, "she is the sunspire, small and yellow with a white deck. can you pick her out from all the others?"
Among all the brightly colored Greecian colors it was easy to spot the slightly faded bubble with out its workers waiting for them. He tugged Zosa forward until they reached the dock where the boat was setting. He swallowed though his face did not show his excitement beyond his white teeth. "This is it?" He almost didn't wait for a confirmation seeing the diving equipment as proof.
he nodded though now that they were there he felt a little uncomfortable. it was the wrong kind of skip and looked nothing like the other but all the same he was not quite as pleased as he was on the way there and tightening his grip he swallowed, "well what are you waiting for?"
He pulled Zosa closer before stepping on the boat gently kissing him on the forehead. With a heavy grin he tugged Zosa on to the boat before curiously inspecting everything, from the wood rails, the divers suits, the hammock and then he disappeared below rocking a little. He tumbled. It only took less then 5 minutes of the docile rocking before his breakfast turned into rocks in his stomach. Returning to where their shorts where he frowned at Zosa. "Zosa I think there is something wrong with the bread."
reaching out he wriggled his fingers, "no, the bread was fine, it's the ocean. remember the weird feeling you got on the ferry? well this boat is a lot smaller. it will just take a little getting used to is all. if you'd like we can put off sailing and just stay docked for a while until you feel better"
The professor stumbled forward until he could bow his head into Zosas chest. He remembered that feeling but some how it was amplified on the smaller boat. With Zosa steadying him he let the man lead him on a small tour of the boat explaining the things he had seen for himself.
after they went over the whole skip and he explained all of the safety rules he sat down at one of the small benches and had the other sit with him, "i had forgotten how much i enjoyed the ocean"
He was surrounded by a vast world of blue that was so contrary to his love of red. It was still something he could not get used to and closing his eyes he could remember many night of the crescent earth pecking out of his childhood bedroom while now he fell asleep to the soft crashing of waves. It made him slightly space sick though his thoughts were quickly washed away by another soft bob. "Why do you like the ocean?"
letting his gaze follow felix's out over the water he felt calmer. relaxing against the wood he let himself drift in the blue until the other spoke, "..i don't know, i just do.... why do you like space? it's just.... i don't know, felix"
He raised his brow. "It is... space, unproven as of yet to be a limiting void and so full of theories and possibilities. When the sky is open to you, and you see millions of little eyes it is millions of little hope and voices calling for exploration. We have as humans, not even phantom what is on planets we could only reach by means of technology, Image what is beyond our solar system?" Twisting his head he nested it in Zosas "And if Steven hawking is correct, every move we make, takes the universe to an infinite level."
he did not mention it was the same with the ocean because that was not the reason. he did not care either way what was in it or what couple possibly be in it he was just in sync with it and it called to him naturally. silently he only offered a soft smile as he took the pale hand and took back to looking out over the sky
He listened to his lovers silence in between the waves before deciding to get a closer look at the water. He tested his legs and wobbled towards the edge of the boat. It was not a good idea but it gave him a wonderful view of some of the life beneath the blue surface.
he thought he could manage but as soon as the pale feet were bared and dipped into the water he lost it and getting up quickly grabbed felix under the arms and jerked him back. he could not hide his own horrified expression from the face looking up at him and feeling quite ashamed even as his heart raced he loosened his grip
His heart was irratically beating until he realized it was not his own and twisting inside the iron grip he saw his husbands frightened face. He regarded the man for a long time as his fingers reached where they could and coaxed the fingers to loosen and tangle with his. When he was able to, he shifted so that the side of his face came to rest upon the frightened one. "Its alright Zosa." He cooed. His voice picked up a tune to help calm his lovers nerves, bringing him into a gentle sway.
felix was almost halfway through his favorite song a second time before he felt calm enough to let go and keeping close enough so that the wash of shame that heated up his face could not show he took the tattooed hands in his own, "i am sorry....i should not have done that"
The professor said nothing, instead he shifted so he could fully take the man in his arms. When they retreated away from the edge of the boat and around to the hammock. He helped the other on to the pillows atop the netting first unsure if being horizontal was the best for his stomach but he braved it for Zosa regardless. His hand nested comfortable with Zosa in his arms gently stroking the others belly that lay hidden beneath the shirt. "Its alright." He said in a rather sing-songy voice. "We have all the time in the world to see the fish but for now I can appreciate the sky's view as well." The hand that was not on the belly combed its way over Zosa's other hand intertwining with the fingers as the breeze and dangling limbs rocked the lovers on the tide.
they lay in the hammock entwined until the sun had cleared the boat's canvas and were cast in shade by which point he was ready to try again. carefully untangling from the other he pulled felix to the edge once more and taking off his own shoes sat down to dangle his feet in the water
He had just grown used to the gentle sway and was nearly lulled to sleep when the other decided to venture forth to the waters once more. He came close behind and did as the boy did. His feet easily tickled against the splashing waves. Instead of leaning towards the water he playfully jostled Zosa. "One fish, two fish..." He said feeling oddly childish and wondering if the still some what anxious face could be soothed by the simple rhyme.
he offered a shakey smile at the jostle though his hand was quick to find felix's and hold it in his own against the deck, "are you excited? it's been almost four years since i promised you hyptodi"
Looking down at the water he was more then ready. He stole a glance at Zosa, it was strange that just a few hours ago the man was clining to him as he leaned over the side of the boat. Moving to the edge of the water he grinned. "Baby, I am 3 years worth of ready and beyond." Grabbing Zosa by the hand he slid off the edge of the boat dumping both of them into the water. He kicked and flailed trying to swim closer to the native fauna.
( I am pretty sure they were suppose to go out to sea first XD ) |
panic gripped him at first as he met the warm water but quickly it turned into embarrassment as his toes brushed the bottom and the sound of felix laughing came over the flailing splashes. grabbing the other as the man tried to dip around he pulled him close and mindless of any looks they may have garnered gave the other a quick kiss on wet lips to get his attention, "you are incorrigible felix, you've scared the fish and soaked us both"
He let out a little grin before twisting and pulling Zosa into the deeper waters. There he dipped below but realized it was much harder to see through the waters near the boats. The fish and the htopodi were gone. Springing up close to Zosa he splashed him with a bit of water before circling around. "I guess you are right Zosa." His hands drifted towards his husbands hips and pulled him close. "Until they come back would you like to scare some locals?" He asked letting his stomach explain why.
the attention they were already garnering was enough to keep him from being tempted and rolling his eyes he pulled the other out of the water all while trying not to cut their feet on shells glass or hooks
He had forgotten how hot the greek isles could be but was quickly reminded as he and Zosa scampered over throngs of heated bricks to find a place that would serve the shirtless, shoeless pair. The professor did not have much time to rebraid his hair making him feel both uncomfortable at the weight, but like a mythical swamp beast that had emerged from the sea. Oblvious to locals, He sought out a place that would allow them to eat only to came to a stand selling Gyros. "Zosa if you would like I can carry you." He offered finally taking note of some of Zosas uncomfortable ness around the locals had returned.
between the sand and shells digging into his feet and the itch of salt drying inside of his clothes he was not paying much attention to felix who seemed oblivious and so when the other spoke he nearly did not hear and had to ask the other to repeat himself
This time the professor did not repeat himself. He merely stopped walking and crouched in front of Zosa. He pointed to his back and would not move until the boy had gotten the message.
instead of words he got a response and watching as the other crouched down he felt instantly aware of all the people who were taking notice of them. feeling embarrassed he asked the other to get up in english, when that did not work he moved to felix's side and crouching as well spoke into the man's ear, "felix, please"
Taking a deep breath, he looked Zosa in the eyes and held them for a long time. He felt a small tap on his shoulder. IT was hard to ignore the pleading in Zosa's eyes. Shaking his head he lead in close. "One day Zosa." He gave the darker man a kiss on his cheek and stood up. By then their food was ready.
he did not understand what the whispered words meant but he was so relieved that felix stood that he was not going to say anything about it and took his own food without any fight. as they wandered back to the boat he silently ate and when nothing else happened he slipped his hand into felix's
He looked at the hand. Wanting to say so much, but he left his lover in his idle happiness. Once they returned to the boat he found his way to the hammock and sprawled out among the nets. "Is it possible to go further out into the water? and what time does auntie expect us back for dinner?"
