currently: unsure how to explain that discord DMs between people i don't know as well as close friends and myself scare me slightly.

DMs don't bother me much if they're from a name i recognize. if it's some random person and i've never seen the name, then that's creepy.

i get spooked because i sort of associate it with me having fucked up somewhere and i get scared.

I think Cockatoos are cute and hilarious but also have the capacity to be loud, squawky dinosaurs. x'D
