Oh man....I haven't been reading much lately. I am failing at this challenge so far...
XD
In fact, I don't think I have any changes to make to my reading list even.

Moonshadow 02-24-2017 12:55 AM

Hey Kad! Its okay I go through stages where I don't read much either.
I've been reading some this month, I'm probably at 8 for the year.

trystan830 02-24-2017 12:56 AM

finished another!

now i'm reading "You Are Not So Smart: Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself," by David McRaney

i know my memory is fiction and faulty, too! XD

Bit of an error there. Matheson's book was "I Am Legend." Omega Man was one of the movies based off of it. Same with The Last Man on Earth and I Am Legend with Will Smith. It wouldn't surprise me if there were more.

I have Matheson's book in my "101 Books you must read and why" thread and was informed about the earlier movies since I didn't know about them at the time.

Yup you are right. I actually have a copy of the Omega Man book with picture on the cover from the movie from the 60's was it? I collect old copies of syfy books. I got all confused. You are totally right.

I'm still only at 2 so far.
But I decided to update my list with book progress and a few books I plan to read this year.

Poggio 02-24-2017 11:46 AM

D: Does it count if you have started this challenge on Good Reads?
I set my limit to a book a month since I haven't had time to focus and finish reading.

Kaderin Triste 02-24-2017 04:38 PM

Since I'm pretty sure the Good Reads challenge has inspired this thread (or at least is the same basic concept) I say yeah. That counts.

Moonshadow 02-25-2017 06:06 PM

Yup! Kad is right it does count.
I will add you to the list on the first page.
Just put your reading list in a spoiler and I will reference thepage.
Let me know when you do that and I will add you.

Poggio 02-26-2017 09:20 PM

Lol I don't really have a list. I just plan to try to read 12 books this year. I am not sure I would know what to read.

I started my technically last year. I'm posting it here to make myself look good when I finish a book!

My reading has slowed down a little. I'm done with books for now as I was overrun with academia.

Tip for you Moonshadow: you can link to an individual post by clicking on the post number in the upper corner. It will open in a new window that you can link to. Like so!

Am I being too nit-picky?

Moonshadow 02-26-2017 10:56 PM

No Quiet you are not! Thank for the head's up, it will make it easier I think to link to the page of people doing the challenge.

Well, finished with One Realm Beyond and picked up Nostalgia, one of the selected books from "Canada Reads." The author happens to be from Africa, so I can stick it in that category on my list, or I can put it under books published in 2016/2017. Not totally sure which. There was also a book there that I'm interested in now, called Fifteen Dogs (Giller Prize winner). Was a toss-up between the two. Nostalgia won out. Will add Fifteen Dogs to my reading list later.

I've decided to read Terabithia again. Why am I doing this to myself? Though now that I think about it, it might not be high school.

Kaderin Triste 03-07-2017 07:43 PM

Read 2 short books over the weekend. Less than 200 pages each. Now back to my "adult" size books!
XD

Moonshadow 03-07-2017 11:26 PM

I've been reading a bit lately. I am in the middle of A Man Called Ove and reading Healing With the Angels by Doreen Virtue.

Finished The Hollow Man by Dan Simmons, it was just ok.

Kaderin Triste 03-08-2017 03:13 AM

I am still in progress on the ones that my reading list shows progress on.
Plus I am re-reading 2 other books.
But reading has been slow because I also have too many craft projects that I keep starting.
XP

trystan830 03-08-2017 11:04 AM

almost done with my current book, You are Not so Smart. it's interesting, and i know i'm a conditioned conformist with sucky memory! XD
