tfw you want attention from a specific person in a discord server and you also want to lash out at them for the perceived feeling of abandonment.

Was bad and spent too much money on lost kitties.
But am also getting one of the series 1 kitties I need...
And might get another one, but need to check my list because I'm not sure if I actually need the one I saved or not.

I've heard enough horror stories about climbing gyms that I don't really think that it would be a good option either. As much as I've been wanting to learn. Just going to have to stick to indoor activities at home forever.

I hate how inspired I get to work on projects when I'm at work, but as soon as I get home, all I want to do is sleep.

Also....excuse me while I spend the next 10 minutes giggling at my current avi for no reason...

o-o; Uhm...is this a bad place to report that Kobe Bryant just died today in a helicopter crash??;; O-O; I'm kinda shook.

Kory 01-26-2020 08:03 PM

My mom just told me about that too!
I am not really familiar with Kobe Bryant, but it's still really unfortunate that he died. :(

Merskelly Metalien 01-26-2020 08:48 PM

Same. e_e; Although I'd hate to die in a helicopter crash. Much sympathy for his family.

Stabbsworth 01-27-2020 01:35 PM

who the heck is kobe bryant

Kaderin Triste 01-27-2020 01:41 PM

A...basketball(?) player. I think.
Someone famous of course or else no one would even care about the death.

(Not saying is isn't sad and all and the manner of dying is horrible, but if it was a normal, non-famous person, it's unlikely anyone would even hear about it tbh...or at least that it would be less publicized and kind of brushed off.)

Stabbsworth 01-27-2020 01:49 PM

probably. never heard of the guy before, but then again, i'm pretty much stuck in the UK.

Kaderin Triste 01-27-2020 07:08 PM

Mouth: Hmmm....I could probably make one of those...
Brain: WHOA WHOA NO STOP!
Customer: Oh really?! How much would you charge?
Mouth: Hmmm...I dunno, maybe $5?
Brain: NO STOP YOU IDIOT!

And that's the story how I agreed to loom knit a leash for a customer at Joann...

The End.

It is still very sad and tragic, but I still stand by my statement that if it were a normal person instead of a celebrity that it would be "less important" news and would he brushed off as a...lesser incident that likely wouldn't reach beyond the region's local news. Even though all loss in such circumstances is a tragedy and should get the same respect/acknowledgement as such, regardless of a person's level of fame.
