Ah, that explains it. The youngest is almost always treated like royalty while the eldest is constantly scrutinized. It's like that for me, too. I'm the eldest child, so the world is expected of me. My brother is the youngest, so the world is given to him on a silver platter.

I still say that once your brother massively screws up next semester that they may change their tune a bit.
