awwwweee yes it would, den. maybe that's something you artists can do: pattern overlays. for skirts, dresses, tops, pants...instead of adding all new *insert clothing item*, release something like music notes pattern or cats with yarn or candy or whatever. they would act like an add-on sort of like a tattoo for clothing xD would save y'all a bunch of work of having to upload everything on every color of item :P
...I'mma pass that on to Galla and the others.
for clarification's sake, we don't add overlays individually to each and every color option an item has. we have a handy tool that does most of the hard work for us. creating alts like a skirt without an overlay and then a skirt with an overlay takes about as long as it does to drag in a new layer, make sure it's set to the appropriate settings (there's a dropdown for this, so 2 clicks), mark if it has special coloration, and change the item name. so that "bunch of work" is really not as bad as you might be imagining.

*trying to draw cute*
*points to avatar* I've seen a couple girls already this spring wearing outfits similar to that.
I just realized there's no back skirt on this cardigan, and for some reason that's skeeving me out slightly. |
Are you sure it's not just hidden behind your avatar background?
Yup. I pulled everything off to look.
ahhh....okay *goes to find a nice quiet corner with a pillow to lay down with*
Good evening, everyone.

Hi, Nanka!
Kitty blep! |
seems a bit odd that the cardigan item doesn't have a back skirting to it, imo
Yes. This is the first time I've worn it with pants, so I never realized. It's really odd.
Or... *peers at it* Oh, I guess it comes down in points in front, so maybe that's why there's no visible back part. The back's only bum length? |
might be why.

*pokes Weird and gets socked* x.o
Pffft. *offers Weird a preserved duck egg (NOT BALUT)*
