XD nice, that is how I bought my first laptop it was display and it had a crack so they knocked off 120 dollars of it.

Plus.. the question would be reselling the TV when I leave.. :/ I don't plan to be living in Scotland in a few years time.. I am sure I will be moving to Tennessee or somewhere along those lines after I finish college. So I rather wait. ^ ^ Plus I got two game cubes waiting for me in the States among a few other items.

Not enjoying scotland? But If I was you and planning on moving back to the states then I wouldn't buy anything and save as much money as possible.

But yeah some places don't sell display items. When I got my TV they had to ask a managers and the district manger if it was okay to do so. Took awhile but it was worth it. The screen is perfect but the outer shell has a few scratches and scuff marks but other then that its a great tv.

Well.. I have quite a bit of stuff still overseas, Trak.. I have a brand new tv sitting over there that was giving to me cause there was a crack in the casing and a stand among a few other items. So it's not that like I have to start over from scratch again. ^ ^

And yea.. I think Wal-Mart has done that before a few times.. only items I ever got that were display items were a few of my dolls.. and that would be cause there was no more of the doll I wanted in stock and they were willing to sell them to me.

Best Buy let me do it, in fact I would think most places let you do it just to make the sale. xD. I know at the store where I work we do it.

the Wal-Mart near me has a "no sell" policy on display items. I've tried so many times. They always say no and try to sell me something "similar"

I honestly have never shopped at Best Buy. Through that is good idea, I kind of need to get a new ipod so I might keep tabs out for a display model going up for sale.

Yes.. I know... we tried to get a few display items as well from there..

I still have a bit of savings overseas and I think next year, I'm going to go back and see if I can spend a few months working at my old job to get some money saved up over the Summer. I know the manager does it for the college kids..

You know what else is a good idea? Changing the name of the eye patch to "Trak's eye patch"
