Sei 07-23-2011 11:34 PM

From 11-13, I haven't really been impressed. Dx

Nefer 07-23-2011 11:35 PM

^^; Same here, though the graphics in FF12 are kinda interesting I guess...and FF13 I only saw previews and the such since I don't have a PS3, but I've heard it's not the best one ever...

Sei 07-23-2011 11:37 PM

I hope they can turn it around. If they cannot, then I think Final Fantasy might go from being a top tier game to a second tier game.

Nefer 07-23-2011 11:38 PM

Ya...Perhaps the next FF13 with, uh, Noctis I think was his name, will help... I hope for them anyway, because the good old PS1-PS2 Final Fantasy were my favorite games...

Glitch 07-23-2011 11:42 PM

I've never played Final Fantasy but my bf sure liked the 13 one - I don't think he's excited for the 13-2 or whatever it's called.

Nefer 07-23-2011 11:44 PM

Well, apparently the summons are but the rest not that much, but I can't tell myself since I've never played it (many people say they disliked FF10-2 and yet personally I liked it, so...)

Glitch 07-23-2011 11:49 PM

i'm a .hack fan myself :3

Nefer 07-23-2011 11:51 PM

I've only watch the anime but never play it...What kind of game is it?

Glitch 07-23-2011 11:57 PM

it's an rpg -- but you have to think about it as if you're playing through somebody else playing the rpg. It's fun! <3

Nefer 07-23-2011 11:58 PM

Oh, nice! It's not online though, is it?

Glitch 07-23-2011 11:59 PM

no no, The world "is" but you're playing a guy playing the online game. So it's not online for you~ if that makes sense. :) They are just simulating an online game.

Sei 07-24-2011 12:00 AM

I played... infection, outbreak... and the third one, but then I gave up. Have they made any new .hack, or are you just playing the older ones?

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:01 AM

Oh ok nice! And ya, I get it lol, I've watch the .Hack//SIGN anime so it helps ^^ I think there was a PS2 game of it...I may try to buy it when I get a fulltime job ^^

Glitch 07-24-2011 12:02 AM

i've played the originals and then .hack//GU -- GU has a lot more playability to it where as the first games were more for the people who liked the tv show. :)

Sei 07-24-2011 12:07 AM

Oh, winter, that's good to know. I might look into that.

I still remember him... "STACCATO!" xD

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:08 AM

Now you guys make me want to buy it even more, not good considering the amount of games I already need to finish on my PS2, Wii and PSP ^^;;;

Glitch 07-24-2011 12:10 AM

you could ... rent it. maybe. :3

Sei 07-24-2011 12:11 AM

I still have to finish Dragon Age: Origins and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, then tie up loose ends with the evil side of Infamous 2. Dx

Glitch 07-24-2011 12:13 AM

i've got to finish eternal sonata D:

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:14 AM

Rent a ps2 game? Bah, I'll buy it instead, it will probably cost me 10$ more to have it for life xD

Sei 07-24-2011 12:17 AM

That is true. I need to start up FFX again and play from scratch. Gonna see if I can get passed the -ara spells before leaving Kilika. xD

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:19 AM

Lol!
You can do it! Achieve the 100%! xD

Sei 07-24-2011 12:20 AM

My friends were shocked that I completed the sphere grid with my main characters. I was like 'yeah, I was 1/8th done by the second temple; no big deal, really'. xD

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:21 AM

Lol!
I'm the same when playing a FF game, I go crazy with levelling up my abilities and the such ^^;

littl3chocobo 07-24-2011 12:23 AM

nefar sweetie!

Sei 07-24-2011 12:23 AM

I always like to over-level for the first 3/4ths of the game. Then, in the last 1/4th, I usually ride it out as far as I can and level only when I have to. I dunno why, really.

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:25 AM

Choco!!! *runs slowly in slow-motion toward Choco*

@Sei: Lol, personally it depends, I usually level up too much when there's a big boss coming, so I end up running in circle for hours to fight some monsters before the boss xD (Like the Mountains before Seymour's fight in FF10, it's crazy how long I ran in circle there just before entering where you fight him xD)

Sei 07-24-2011 12:27 AM

I leveled so much by that time that I had holy, ultima, hastega, auto-life, and full life. xD Seymour couldn't touch me, that whimp.

...but my favorite time, although I missed Yuna, was storming Bevelle. Oh, I leveled so much there.

littl3chocobo 07-24-2011 12:28 AM

*slow cliche' song starts playing and a flower field appears* nefar *super slow-motion run commences*

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:29 AM

@Sei: Lol! I hated his fight, well the one on the riff, he always managed to kill me in one shot just before I killed him myself ^^; Therefore why I leveled up like crazy there, then did almost no level up after that ^^;

*continues running toward Choco, looking down and wondering where the flowers came from*

Sei 07-24-2011 12:32 AM

That game... is still my favorite game of all time. It was the first game I really put effort into. Now, I put effort into tons more games. *nods*

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:33 AM

Lol. It was my first FF game so it has a special place in my heart...Then I bought FF7 and the older ones, go figure xD

littl3chocobo 07-24-2011 12:34 AM

personally i've never played haha

*gets to the end of the run, leaps solidly into the air and yells* nefar~! *lands on sei instead*

Sei 07-24-2011 12:34 AM

I believe, at least in most franchises, that the first game you play is always your favorite. My friend started with VII, and swore it was better than X, but having started on X and then trying VII, felt the opposite way. VII is /really/ good, but it's not my favorite.

*catches?* Wha...?

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:37 AM

*stop midrun* Uh, over HERE Choco! *waves*

@Sei: They're kinda both my favorites, FF10 because of the graphics and the very big world map, and FF7 because of the storyline and characters, so I can't decided which one I prefer ^^;

Sei 07-24-2011 12:40 AM

VII, I'm not going to lie, confused me quite a great deal. I didn't feel as attached to Cloud and Aeris and I did Tidus and Yuna. *nodsnods*

littl3chocobo 07-24-2011 12:40 AM

*hops off of and bounds over to nefar* ^^:

i've seen ten and the battle system sucks but ff7 has shit graphics(though i suppse stellar for the ninties) it all depends on your fav feature of any game really ...though i'm still going to put in for seven

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:42 AM

I...usually don't get attached to the main characters, apart from...uh...well...ok, I can't think of any game I got attached to the main characters xD So I guess that's why I liked FF7 lol, and the Wall Market section was priceless xD But then again...Sephiroth was and still is my favorite FF character, so it helps...Seymour...atually comes tied with Kuja lol.

*catches Choco midair...and trip over a flower*

Sei 07-24-2011 12:43 AM

I liked Kuja more than Seymour (go, under-appreciated IX!), but I prefered the TBS of X. I liked to strategically place my moves, and felt rushed with the button mash of VII.

Nefer 07-24-2011 12:46 AM

Ok, when I first read I saw 'under-clothated' instead of 'under-appreciated, but then again it would fit with Kuja as well xD

And hmmm, well, FF12 is kinda good for that though, you can run in circle around a big rock to kill a ten times stronger ennemy xD
