I usually just do a couple of the dishes while food’s in the microwave.

Getting sick is like...a challenge that tests my body and it's defenses against the illness..and my body always wins because if it doesn't that means the germs killed me. x} Bring it on germs. >:} You may have taken residence in this house, but you will not defeat the likes of me so easily!

I even took Robutussin which is nasty! get up just once and dump ibuprofen into your pocket. have painkillers wherever you go.

My ibuprofen is in a pocket of my messenger back, which is currently hanging on the back of my bedroom door. I'm more of an acetaminophen person as it generally works better for me and I have 1 bottle in my bathroom cabinet and 1 on my makeshift nightstand.
But I got the ibuprofen to help reduce swelling from my pulled muscle and it has helped with that. I actually almost felt normal/uninjured last night at work.

Eh. I just ignore them and keep walking. Especially since I take the busier streets, so if they try to assault me and take my stuff, there will be plenty of witnesses anyway.

Haha, well, I'm contemplating moving in with someone, and I'm trying to ensure our cats like each other. Neither of them have reacted aggressively to the smell of each other so far, but there may be signs I'm missing

My store started carrying cricket protein items. I've been curious to try it, so got some protein bars. Hoping they are easier to digest but not too weird tasting.

Without being able to observe them myself, it's difficult to say if there are any subtle signs of trouble, but the best way to acclimate 2 cats to each other's presence in a situation like this is (if possible) keep them in separate areas of the house or seperate rooms, but put their food and water on either side of a shared wall so they can get accustomed to each other's smell and also associate each other with good things. This is recommended for at least the first week, or longer if they seem to display agitation still after the first week. But from the sound of it your cats already know each other, so just a few days of separation should be sufficient unless they do display agitation or aggression.
And there will always be little spats and play fighting as they get used to sharing the spaces.

I remember reading somewhere that someone wound up covering their cats who wouldn't get along with sardine or anchovy oil and locking them in a bathroom so that they would lick each other clean. It ended up working since the grooming triggered their bonding instinct. It's a desperate measure, but seemed pretty humorous.

They haven't met each other yet. But they've smelled each other through me for a few months now. The friend and I exchanged a blanket that smells like the other one and neither of them really responded, just sniffed it and ignored. Tomorrow is gonna be the first time they meet

My cats learned to coexist with my former housemate's cat. Cats are overall pretty adaptable, and as long as their needs are met they'll put up with a lot.

Of course, one of those needs is "territory". This is hard for humans to understand because we don't interpret the notion the same way cats do, and cats don't make it easy because they're neither purely social nor purely solitary animals.

I agree with Kaderin's advice: give them separate spaces.

They will - honestly they probably won't ever interact that often bc I'll be living in the basement and his cat isn't allowed in the basement, but obviously it would be nice if they could get along

Power has been out all day and the TV isn't working and I don't know if it's going to be fixable.

I'm so happy I like oatmeal...without milk in it. =w=
