I like the puzzles that don't involve math since i suck at math

Drakath 10-26-2011 09:46 PM

Same, I'm surprised I know any math at all, It's hard fro me, but everything else, reading, writing, etc, it all comes so easy to me. XD

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 09:52 PM

i do ok at math, to a certain point, but my writing is not very good. i have problems writing essays often..

Drakath 10-26-2011 09:54 PM

I tend to over do it with essays. i had to two today for the writing portion of a big test, and I filled three and a half pages each, with long paragraphs and I write small.
I feel bad for the person grading ti but i couldn't help it.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 09:55 PM

wow, thats impressive!!! i tend to be on the shorter essay side..if its handwritten then part of it is my small handwriting, but i dont like long writing, so i tend to not write a lot myself. unless im reading Robert Jordan, then i can stand to read wordy books.

Drakath 10-26-2011 09:58 PM

I tend to write a lot on a lot of things, when i do short response questions to need to write less i will limit myself but i like long works of literature.

littl3chocobo 10-26-2011 10:01 PM

that smile is four mouths thick <3

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:02 PM

O.O
Chocobo...watcha talkin about willace.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:02 PM

i tried to read Atlas Shrugged, and i was actually impressed on how she made a wordy book interesting. some books though, i want more action and less description on how the wind makes peoples clothes move.

edit: ooh i see. o.O

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:05 PM

I like detail but more on scenery and the characters' profile, normally in books where the looks of the character are important.
I also like being told back history on the setting's history and scuh.

OMG Lol. I recognize that line. XDD

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:06 PM

i dont mind in the beginning, but i think what made me want more stuff to happen was in the wheel of time books, where the author kept going off about how much cleavage was on the womens' dresses. -_-

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:07 PM

XD i was hopi9ng someone would. XD
Oooh Gary Coleman.
*Ahem*
*stares at computer*

Edit: if you're doing a fast description or talking about a woman who was supposed to show it off it's fine but i dont want to read that all of the time.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:09 PM

yeah it got old fast. but the books were still good enough for me to read XP it was the one thing i didnt like

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:11 PM

Even in a lot of the books i love i find something i do like.
For example in the Amber series at times did get a bit long winded with detail but they are fun books.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:17 PM

Amber series? whats it about?

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:18 PM

It's sort of a Fantasy novel series, and somewhat long and it has a lot of books in it.
I dont want to post a full description in threads. but later on if you like I can PM you a small summery.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:20 PM

ill save you the trouble and look it up ^_^ my b-day is next week and im probably gonna get some bookstore guft cards, so ill be getting a lot of books

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:23 PM

Oki. :d
It's a fun series for sure, my mom got me into it.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:27 PM

my brother and i got my mom into the WoT series, which is 14 books long in total. the author died after or during the 11th though O.O and the guy who took over is one of my favorite authors XD

Echo-chan713 10-26-2011 10:28 PM

Did he screw up the story so continued it the way the original author intended to create?

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:30 PM

Usually if someone takes up a series they do something to mess it up, but i have th4e same question, did he mess it up for make it as good?

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:33 PM

it was still good, just....not RJ. but i like his writing style as well. my ONLY problem is how he wrote my favorite character, he just seemed a bit off. the rest was awesome though. he used RJ's notes for it, and apparently the end of the series was already written, so that part will be great im sure

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:37 PM

Knowing the end of the series was done made it a lot easier for the writer who took it over for sure. The author of the Dune series died and his son took it over i think It was a good series too.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:41 PM

ooh did he butcher it? yeah i think he left a LOT of notes cuz he knew his health was deteriorating... :(

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:43 PM

No his son did a good job.
I guess It helped knowing what his father was writing though.
XD

Lioshika 10-26-2011 10:48 PM

-Bangs head repeatedly on the wall.-

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:52 PM

Ugh...are you alright there LIos?

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:55 PM

*pulls out tranquilizer* oh dear.....thats good to hear though, i dont like the thought of a good series getting destroyed

Drakath 10-26-2011 10:57 PM

A new Dune series is coming out for it too, Sisterhood of Dune but i am not sure how wrote this series.
We're ordering it though.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 10:59 PM

i have a lot of series i need to read, but college gets in the way of that.

Drakath 10-26-2011 11:01 PM

School does tend to do that.
I like reading so I'm sort of dreading College, because I wont have the time for it.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 11:06 PM

well if you're on campus you might have more time...i commute, so there goes at least an hour a day driving.

Drakath 10-26-2011 11:07 PM

I plan on On campus living, or a small commute. UC is not far from where I live.
It depends on where i end up going

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 11:08 PM

hmm and what classes you take...i think next semester ill have less time since im going to take Chinese, and ill be studying all the time...

Drakath 10-26-2011 11:11 PM

I plan on majoring In Culinary arts and Cartooning, either or.
I took Chinese when i went to High school in Colorado, it5 was one of the funest classes it took.
I plan on taking classes again if i can.

SinX_franz 10-26-2011 11:12 PM

yay just got my dragon lord and i feel so happy that i got one of these rare finds. Though i only have 10 runes left with me. anyways i still need to earn a lot more au to buy more runes.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-26-2011 11:14 PM

i have 50 runes, but i dont know if i want to get the dragon lord, or burning vigil....I took it in junior year, and loved it, though it was more difficult than the french 3 class i took at the same time :P

Drakath 10-26-2011 11:14 PM

I was able to get one too, i saved up and posted a lot
I'm planing on a yearly now, one of the wing based ones. ^^

It was difficult for us we had to learn to write everything in characters but the teacher made it fun.

Lioshika 10-26-2011 11:16 PM

I keep getting lost.
