My style doesn't really work well for comics, I think, due to the massive amount of detail I get myself into.

Lawtan 12-12-2014 12:04 AM

So, bad for multiple-pages-a-week comics, but good for 1x-a-week comics, possibly...

Espy 12-12-2014 12:35 AM

Not necessarily. You know my attention span, haha.

kiki 12-12-2014 07:11 AM

i never even tried to make comics because i though it will be too much to take so much measurement and draw boxes and then draw . n .

ml1201 12-12-2014 09:19 AM

There's a art program you can get, I think it's free too, that you can use for that but I forget which one it is. When I get off work I'll ask my friend Jess because I think she uses it for her comic as well.

@Espy
Not even if it was a black and white one?

Cartoony people is what I wind up doing. Little pudgy things. But I'd really rather just use words.

Espy 12-12-2014 06:51 PM

Ahaha, you people :P There've been quite a few people asking me about doing a comic, but I really doubt I'll ever get around to that. I'm not good at commitments like that, really, and my style shifts drastically depending on my mood.

ml1201 12-12-2014 08:06 PM

Ah, well its your choice, you know how you work better than anyone else. :3 You could still try doing commissions though. :3

Espy 12-13-2014 02:08 AM

I do occasionally try taking commissions. I'm not good at finishing them >.>

Poor Espy, do you warn people that at times that happens?

Lawtan 12-13-2014 02:09 PM

*Is still somewhat trying to understand how things like commissions work*

ml1201 12-13-2014 06:38 PM

Usually what my friend KC does is make up a quick sketch after people have seen her work and show interest. If they like the sketch (which is not very detailed but has all the positions set up) she will proceed with the work asking for partial payment, this way if the person changes their mind after you've already started working on it or have finished it you can at least get some money for the time you took to do it.

It's called GIMP. It works similarly to Photoshop, and I do all my artwork that gets colored on the computer in it.

ml1201 12-13-2014 08:44 PM

No, I mean one that's specifically made for making comics in. XD GIMP you still have to make the squares and stuff yourself, but there's one that you can customize the squares and stuff. I don't remember if it was Fire Alpaca or something else though. x'D

...On another note, could someone with a positive outlook on life message me...

*Is somewhat in a rut*
