....i...didn't know there was so much involved with mas

only 1, 7 and 8 actually are things i'd consider

Kaderin Triste 12-22-2019 11:26 PM

If I could get out of the xmas kidnapping, I would only bother with #1. And maybe #2 because I like having pretty nails. Though after struggling with my stamping polishes for the last few hours, I'll probably just throw a holo top coat on and call it good. XP
#8 is more a thing that just generally needs done, but I'd rather take care of it before being kidnapped so I don't leave the cats alone with a full garbage can. Not that they get into it tbh, I just don't like leaving for more than 12 hours without leaving the house at least semi-clean.

wait, your cats are going to be alone for more than a half day? are you going to have someone check in on them just in case they run out of food or tip their bowls and whn they need litter changed and to be played with?

Kaderin Triste 12-22-2019 11:41 PM

I do have a friend to check in on them, but idk if I'll bother with it (trying to arrange getting my keys to them and getting them back is annoying and not convenient tbh). At MOST, I'll be gone for around 24-28 hours and the cats have been fine with that in the past.
It's nearly impossible for them to tip their bowls and I always make sure they have plenty of food (usually a bit more than they'll need).
And the litter box will survive without being scooped for 1 day. The cats aren't quite that picky. And they also have lots of toys to play with like balls and stuff, though they're not super energetic and are okay with playing on their own if they need to burn off a little energy.

I don't think I had anyone bother watching them last year and I probably handled the separation the worst out of all of us.

littl3chocobo 12-22-2019 11:43 PM

i couldn't do that to something that depends on me. it feels really wrong

you and i live very different lives

Kaderin Triste 12-22-2019 11:47 PM

Oh believe me, I get massive amounts of anxiety, barely sleep at all, and am just not okay with the situation. Unfortunately, I get that way even with someone checking in on the cats, so it doesn't make a real difference.

Fun night we're having ;u; /s

Kaderin Triste 12-23-2019 12:26 AM

Hehe...loads of fun indeed.

Well, I was meaning on my side of the planet. xux This month has just been full of stress and emotional drain.

Kaderin Triste 12-23-2019 12:33 AM

I'd say that's relatable.

Hopefully your stresses will be going away soon!

KittyBeary 12-23-2019 05:29 AM

Thanks ;n; I'm hoping next month is better

Kaderin Triste 12-23-2019 11:52 AM

Ugh. I feel sick in my stomach and can't tell if it's from all the stress and anxiety of Christmas or if I'm just really hungry...

Stabbsworth 12-23-2019 12:53 PM

toast will probably help with that.

Kaderin Triste 12-23-2019 01:08 PM

No bread around. Did have a clementine orange at work though.
Turns out the answer is "both".
It's stress AND hunger.

I can't wait for Christmas to be over.

Stabbsworth 12-23-2019 01:08 PM

ah, yeah. that'll make sense.

Stabbsworth 12-23-2019 01:11 PM

actual grumbling: both my ears are somewhat blocked. i can still hear out of 'em.

smaller grumbling: had to report something to the head admin of a big epithet erased discord. it was about calling implied native people of a tribal alternate universe monkeys and feral. good thing i have developer mode turned on tbh.
