I did not even know that they had international cos-play day.

Echo-chan713 08-27-2011 07:40 PM

it's a facebook thing. I didn't really follow it

Angel Spirit Girl 08-27-2011 09:08 PM

Ah! I don't have a facebook.

Fey 08-27-2011 10:44 PM

well, it's ON facebook, but much of the community knows about it. Though, how 'international' it actually is I'll not know. I know certain cultures won't tolerate it outside of a convention setting.

Echo-chan713 08-27-2011 10:49 PM

it's legal here but you'll look weird and down upon except halloween

Fey 08-27-2011 10:50 PM

Echo...you do recall I live in the same state as you correct?

I'm speaking of many asian nations. In Japan, China and their neighbors it's VERY inappropriate.

NikkoGallarado 08-27-2011 11:14 PM

Fey has a point unless you live shibuya or akiharba you are to look "normal"

Yes, in Longmont Colorado

Angel Spirit Girl 08-28-2011 03:30 PM

Although, Japan has plenty of lolita fashion, which it thought to be a bit odd in the US.

Echo-chan713 08-28-2011 04:53 PM

and some men's fantasy

Fey 08-28-2011 08:09 PM

well, the reason it's more odd in the US is we're more nosy. We want to know WHY someone wears what they wear. In Japan it's a much more insular outlook. They don't ask, nor do they want to be told. If the same person came to the US they'd be stopped every five feet to either 1)get asked why they're dressed like that or 2)get told why they should/shouldn't dress like that.

Echo-chan713 08-28-2011 08:31 PM

or if they really like it, where did you get it?

NikkoGallarado 08-29-2011 09:39 AM

Maybe at times. But echo I think you are missing point that fey was trying to make about the whole thing.....

Fey 08-29-2011 05:45 PM

meh, don't bother, it's like emptying a pool with a sieve...you're not going to get far fast and the frustration'll kill you.

So! less than two weeks to next con and all I have to do is pack...can we all marvel at my pre-planning? ::bows::

Fey 08-30-2011 08:16 PM

NikkoGallarado 08-30-2011 11:31 PM
