Tam I am 09-10-2017 03:35 PM

mdom, LOL!

Den, I meant the abs on the game characters. XD *jiggles my santa belly*

Den 09-11-2017 09:31 PM

Ooooh. *looks to some of her FEH characters* They've got abs. *Note that the characters in question are male*

Tam I am 09-11-2017 10:17 PM

*nod* And you don't say gorby things about 'em on your videos. They're just characters to play the game with.

Den 09-11-2017 10:48 PM

lol they're dollies to look at.

mdom 09-12-2017 12:13 AM

Tam wants to watch let's play of dating sims? those with sex scenes??? xDDD

Den 09-12-2017 12:21 AM

No. That's not Tam's idea of a fun game. She was pointing out that I'm not like the sort who does that.

ETA: To clarify, I don't like those kinds of games, either. I don't really like dating sims in general.

Tam I am 09-12-2017 05:52 PM

I went and picked up a Cindrella novel I'd ordered. There were twin princes. One was named Raoul. This will make G1 TF fans snerk.

It's nice and cool outside today.

Den 09-12-2017 08:25 PM

*curls up in a blanket nest* One of my favorite webcomics comes off of hiatus tomorrow, and I am quite pleased.

Tam I am 09-12-2017 08:54 PM

Tam I am 09-13-2017 01:55 AM

*makes Natsu into a blanket burrito, then offers Natsu tea*

mdom 09-13-2017 02:03 PM

We need to tie Natsu in the thread...

Tam I am 09-13-2017 04:19 PM

I don't think it'd work. Tea is better. *nod nod*

Den 09-13-2017 07:47 PM

Tea is awesome. *nodnod*

Worm 09-13-2017 11:16 PM

Hey guys!
Tam suggested I pop in here, seems like a lovely place. <3
Also, tea is the best~

daikokunyo 09-13-2017 11:54 PM

Over at the Jabberwocky Junction, it's always teatime
I love the combination of that hair with those eyes, Worm :s-love:

Worm 09-14-2017 12:32 AM

Thanks Sternum!
I just love your avi in general ♥ u ♥

mdom 09-14-2017 12:40 AM

Welcome, Worm ^^
we have all kinds of knowledge on the front page and... tea!

Worm 09-14-2017 01:21 AM

Thanks mdom!

*skims front page and dies from excitement* QuQ
There is so much to read!!!
And all the tea~
There are sooo many. I want to try the rose green tea.
I like green tea & white tea the most. But I haven't tried enough to really say. = u =

Den 09-14-2017 03:10 AM

I'm fond of fruit teas, Earl Grey, and chai, myself. But I've been known to be open-minded. Tea is a wonderful thing.

mdom 09-14-2017 10:32 AM

I like fruit&flower teas, white tea and... iced tea *___* my love in those hot days xDDD

Tam I am 09-14-2017 05:10 PM

Welcome, Worm!

My own favourite tea is guyusa. But anything with hibiscus and rosehips in it is right up there too. I usually wind up drinking 'em cold, because I leave them to steep and forget about them. So they're strong, too. LOL I also like Earl Grey, but the caffeine in regular tea does a number on me, so I have to avoid it.

sylvanSpider 09-14-2017 05:25 PM

Oh man, I must have jumped in on a different page!

Uhm... Well, I'm stepping in here, and I really look forward to browsing through the different subjects! I'm a literature nut, so expect recommendations from me!

Tam I am 09-14-2017 05:40 PM

Hiya, Spider! Welcome! Yeah, the sushi talk was some pages back. But it is my favourite. For some reason, raw fish is the ONE thing that's never upset my diva insides. I like salmon best. And please keep the soy sauce away from it. XD

sylvanSpider 09-14-2017 09:19 PM

I'm a lover of sushi and pasta, depending on mood. I work at a sushi place, so sometimes it's nice to switch it up some. But yeah, I keep soy sauce away from mine as well. In fact, I don't use ginger or wasabi with mine either. I just like the straight up sushi the way that it is. It helps that we've got a great sushi chef too. His sushi looks like art by the time he's done with it, so I consider myself lucky in that regard.

Thank you again for the items! I'm in the process of playing with them now to see what I can make! Someday I'll actually start saving aurum, but now I'm just accumulating goodies. x3 If you are looking to expand your library, I could add some webcomics that I know and love! Also, in the literature corner, I can help bulk that up too, if you'd like! I see that you already have a bit on my man William Blake!

Den 09-14-2017 09:31 PM

If I want sushi, I have to drive to Omaha. :/ 60 miles one-way...

sylvanSpider 09-14-2017 10:08 PM

That is no fun ;_; I was in the same situation until I moved to my college town though. Nearest sushi was 80 miles one way, so I know the feeling. It's hard being that secluded. But, maybe you could make a day out of it, or just whenever you're there get some. It'd be like a treat. I see it everyday, so it's not as sacred to me as it once was.

mdom 09-14-2017 10:14 PM

Aw, it's sad when fish are far away :<<
also please recommend books!!

sylvanSpider 09-15-2017 12:44 AM

For the literature side? I dunno if I'll be able to find book books...unless audio books count. In which case, I can find a compilation of Middlemarch by George Eliot. Was using that one for a bit for class, but it is massive, so you'd be listening for uh...a very long while. If it's poetry you want, I gotchu fam. I can help with that one quite easily.

http://www.lfg.co/ <==My favorite webcomic, Looking for Group

http://www.poetry-archive.com/w/wordsworth_william.html <== My man William Wordsworth, paving the way for the Romantic Era poets

https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poe...arly-childhood This is just one of his poems, but wasn't included with the other link, so I figured I'd drop it here.
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poe...8/we-are-seven Same with this one actually.

http://d.lib.rochester.edu/teams/pub...-margery-kempe This one is one of my favorites, The Book of Margery Kempe, though I can't find a modern English Translation. This one might be a bit more difficult to get through.

https://interestingliterature.com/20...e-should-read/ He's a more modern poet, but very good nonetheless. He also has very good translations of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Pearl, both excellent and both worth a read, though I only have the physical copies of those.

https://www.poemhunter.com/emma-lazarus/ Here are a few from Emma Lazaru. I know everyone and their dog knows "The New Colossus" but I highly recommend the rest of her poems too, they are simply fabulous.

Editing this post because I found another! I bring to you Beowulf, with both the original and the translation! http://www.heorot.dk/beowulf-rede-text.html

God, I wish I could transfer my physical copies to here, because I have so many good ones! I can add more as I think of them <3

Tam I am 09-15-2017 04:27 PM

This is my favourite web comic right now. The author also has a slew of funny side stuff and replies to reader questions. The comic updates a little slow, but it's off to a great start, I think.

I can't remember if 'Runnerverse' is on the list already, but both stories here in full, and they crack me up. It's SW type stuff.

'Marooned' was very good while it lasted. More space stuff. And a grouchy robot! The author also has a couple other stories that are just full of feels.

'Cooties' is also finished, and the art isn't the best. But the story is very good.

'Weregeek' is nuts. Need I say more? Oh yes. It's still on going.

Den 09-15-2017 08:01 PM

Far to the North is one of my current favorites, as is Tigress Queen, by the same artist as FttN.

Aquapunk is one that I've been reading for awhile now. Story's interesting and so is the arts.

Vattu is another long-running comic that I read each week, and the artist also has other stories he does.

Dumbing of Age is a daily webcomic by David Willis, about college life. It also covers some sensitive topics, and is on a sliding timescale.

And there's a link in my signature for a very good webcomic that I follow, Harbormaster, but not the most recent one. The link in my signature goes to the very first page, which is where I recommend starting at anyway...

mdom 09-15-2017 09:58 PM

The Book of Margery Kempe I'm liking not much because of the content, but mann I love seeing the evolution of languages *____* my inner linguist is drooling.

Den 09-15-2017 10:54 PM

I still need to finish reading "The Obesity Code"... but it's so boring...

daikokunyo 09-17-2017 07:53 AM

'The Obesity Code'? *wrinkles nose* is it something about the whys and hows of obesity as a health condition?

mdom 09-17-2017 11:52 AM

Or a code on how to become obese...

daikokunyo 09-17-2017 11:56 AM

Either way it sounds terrible -.-

It's a book about how the body's insulin is a big factor in controlling weight issues.

Worm 09-17-2017 08:09 PM

Oh geez, I am really late on this conversation. </3
I love Chai, and I bet tea with rosehips is amazing. * u *

Seriously guys, thanks for all the lists. ♥
I've never really read webcomics... There are quite a few I want to read now. ;0;

And The Book of Margery Kempe looks really interesting to me. I haven't read it though. :'c

It looks like I need to go to the library.

EDIT:
Which class do you need to read "The Obesity Code" for, Den? (:

Den 09-17-2017 08:57 PM

One of my doctors wants me to read it and discuss it with her.
