good. never trust a talking baby that doesn't know it's own name. that is usually a trap

is the face just full of short strands or are you going to give it whiskers?

Basically, in order to make the face to match their rl cat's face as closely as possible, but without having giant holes to have to sew up as well, I'll at some point, be working with 5 or 6 strands of yarn all working different chunks of the face.

I didn't work on any projects today. Instead I repainted my nails and made 1 reverse stamping decal as a practice run for a cute holiday nail art.

But I fucked it up a lot in the dotting of berries (which doesn't look like dots at all anymore) and then smudged the red by adding my top coat way too soon, but I had to get out the door to work asap.

it's more towards not trusting people when they call themselves baby because of the possibility that it'll be weaponized should i dare call them out on infantilizing characters based on neurodivergent traits. that, and nb afab people weaponizing it against nb amab people.

shit's fucked, y'know? i can't trust members of a community that's supposed to accept me because of all the damn discourse on sites like tumblr, and while i'm aware that it's not like that IRL, it's just. disconcerting.

also, having to explain why trans people hate cis people as a social class with limited vocabulary and words. it's frustrating. i know something's not working right here, and i hate being self-aware of my shit.

If it helps you put words to your thoughts: It's an understandable reaction to what feels like systematic othering from the dominant social group.

Rationally, it should be obvious that most trans people don't hate all cis people as a rule, which is probably one of the things that's getting you caught up when you try to express it. But it takes a lot of words and conditions to express the things that really upset trans people, and the common thread among all of the complaints is that it always involves cis people. So it only stands to reason that someone that's upset about something that's complicated to talk about will use a shorter, more impactful way of getting the point across.

A different way of looking at it: It's not so much that trans people hate cis people as it is that we hate that the world divides people into those two groups and treats them differently because of it. We don't hate cis people (as people), we hate "cis people" (as a concept used to discriminate us from them).

Does anyone else get these random literary reminders of things you read in school or in Lit classes?? e_e; I just randomly began thinking about A Modest Proposal by Johnathan Swift, out of flippin' NOWHERE.

Having weird reflux type issues. Not exactly sure what it actually is. But can't really take ant-acids without having gallbladder attacks and don't want to dislodge any gallstones.

Have you seen a doctor about it? My wife just kinda put up with symptoms like that for a long time until she suddenly started throwing up on a daily basis, and it turns out that her gall bladder was basically not working and had to be removed.

That said, you might consider an acid reducer like omeprazole (Prevacid) instead of antacids; they operate by inhibiting the production of excess stomach acid instead of neutralizing it once it's already been created so you aren't overloading on calcium. It can take a few days for it to take full effect; it's not an instant-relief type of thing but most people can take it for 14 days and then be in the clear for a while.

I've seen a specialist about it. He wasn't particularly helpful, but did enough to find gallstones. Because you have to wait so long to see a doctor, I managed to alleviate my gallbladder and pancreas symptoms on my own by taking acids and enzymes. Anything reducing acid makes it worse, including PPIs. But because I managed to stop the pain, the doctor decided not to investigate further and was okay with my methodology. I'm guessing my issue is not enough acid. I tried to stop taking acids before, and experienced some of the worst pain in my life.

Oh, that makes sense then. Too alkaline of an environment can lead to calcium buildup. By all means disregard my advice because it's exactly the opposite of what you need. XD
