Uuuuhhmmm.. wat. xD

Promo cards have a special symbol, cards that are re-printed for special boxes and sets have a special symbol.. anything from sets should have a set symbol. That leaves.. uhm.. eh.. I have no idea.

Demonskid 04-26-2012 10:33 AM

the sets that have no symbols are:

Limited Edition Alpha None
Limited Edition Beta None
Revised Edition[II] None
Fourth Edition None

or so says the Wiki i'm looking at

In the art there are signatures and dates ouo

Vampire Bats: Anson 93
Breath of Life: t.d 97

the vampire bats must be 4th edition then. can't read the name of th eother one to google it Dx

Demonskid 04-26-2012 10:45 AM

yea I found it on this http://www.coolstuffinc.com/ site but I can't find the Breath of Life..

the signature looks like it says td 97 on it but i can't find the exact card on this site Dx

Breath of life - Starter 1999
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Ca...iverseid=21022

Edit:
wait.. it has a white border? that's starter 2000
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Ca...iverseid=25447

Also, that bat is actually a 5th edition. There's a slight difference in the placement of the flavour text between 4th and 5th.

Demonskid 04-26-2012 10:57 AM

Starter sets have star insignia thingies.. I have one of those too

I have mind rot ono
http://img.coolstuffinc.net/products...mind%20rot.jpg

and the breath of life from that set is:
http://img.coolstuffinc.net/products...0of%20life.jpg

see the star ono

actually Starter 1999 is the star and Starter 2000 is an S over a star =/ http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...tarter2000.png

Ducky 04-26-2012 11:02 AM

both those links lead to a card with a squirrel on it >_>

The Gatherer is a site run by the Wizards of the coast themselves, and is the best magic card database out there. according to the pictures they have up both starter 1999 and 2000 had no symbol o-o Well, the sets had a symbol, but it's not on the cards.

Demonskid 04-26-2012 11:10 AM

if you use the search.. they use placement cards =/

I did a search for just Starter 2000 and this card came up:

Ducky 04-26-2012 11:16 AM

That's odd.. usually they have the correct image for most sets...

all other sites also have that image up for the armored pegasus - starter 2000 o.O

Demonskid 04-26-2012 11:19 AM

xD but thats not the proper card for that set though

Ducky 04-26-2012 11:24 AM

I guess all the other sites are referring to the gatherer for their images? D:

Google images doesn't even seem to yield the right image..

Demonskid 04-26-2012 11:29 AM

ono the store site i'm using doesn't even have a section for Starter 2000

Ducky 04-26-2012 11:37 AM

It can't be possible that the correct images from that set have been lost. the internet is meant to have everything D:

Demonskid 04-26-2012 11:44 AM

xD It makes me wonder what a Starter 2000 card looks like now x'D

Ducky 04-26-2012 11:46 AM

Perhaps they were so bad that Wizard sof the Coast have tried to wipe them from existence.

Demonskid 04-26-2012 11:47 AM

those 'are' the starter 2000 cards o.O

Quote:

The set was very unusual in that it contained identical reprints of 6th Edition cards, while other cards in the set were essentially reprints of Starter 1999 cards, without an expansion symbol.
so my card is a Starter 2000 card =/ I really don't like this set already..
