The power is out and I have too many things that need to get done that require the having on of the power.

KittyBeary 12-26-2018 11:41 PM

Finally things aren't so hectic.

Omg, it's like I actually need someone to help me spend my xmas amazon money...
XP
Why am I so bad at shopping rn?

Biomecha 12-27-2018 01:12 AM

Why not save it until you have a need for it later? Something you might not have considered could come to mind. Or something that needs replacing could come up.

Because I canceled my Prime subscription and it ends in a couple weeks and I kind of feel cheated having shipping costs eat away at my balance. And also because I am de-cluttering my apartment, so my only real need is better furniture to optimize my living space and those are expensive anyway and won't be even something I start looking at seriously for probably another month.
And also I pretty much never buy on Amazon anymore except occasional clothes or the small boxes I use for storing my jump rings (but I can and do get those at JoAnn usually).
So....yeah.
My save cart is mainly full of nail polish and other nail art supplies. And a roll of sisal rope to fix the cat tower since the columns are pretty shredded.

:c Indeed it is...I'd really rather be something incapable of reproducing sexually and able to not have to deal with managing all sorts o' pain...like water. :) or a shiny rock.

Just spent all my Christmas Amazon money. But I feel guilty like I need someone else to tell me that it's okay that I just spent $111 of it on various nail polishes...
*sweats nervously*

But...there is really nothing I desperately need on Amazon (I shop local as much as possible...) and the polishes are all really pretty "special effects" ones that I will probably use a lot and don't exist in stores here... *tries to justify why I bought them even though no one probably cares*

Merskelly Metalien 12-27-2018 04:00 AM

It's okay to spend $111 on nail polish! <x] Must be good polish!

Kaderin Triste 12-27-2018 04:13 AM

I got a set of 6 magnetic multichrome "cats eye" effect polishes and a magnetic wand (sold separately), a set of 4 thermal polishes, 1 linear holo top coat polish, and 4 really cool looking multichrome polishes. Oh, and a bottle of peel off base coat since I'm starting to get low on it and I can't get the Unt brand stuff anywhere in town.

Merskelly Metalien 12-27-2018 04:18 AM

O.O Ooouhhh nice! I used to do the magnetic polishes and loved the shiny designs. ^-^ Back when I used to paint my nails every month.

Kaderin Triste 12-27-2018 04:20 AM

I've only ever had 1 magnetic polish and it doesn't work super well. It is from Claire's back in...the early 2000's(?) when magnetic polish was a new concept. But when I saw the cat's eye effect polishes, I was super excited. And when I found them in a normal not-gel polish I just couldn't resist!

KittyBeary 12-27-2018 07:13 AM

I'm saving my xmas ebay money for now. But I have been eyeing stuff on there hehehehe

Death by Mirrors 12-27-2018 09:03 AM

It is definitely fine to spend $111 on nail polish. After all you're supposed to spend your money on something that you'll a) enjoy, and b) use. This is an investment in your mental health to prevent depression and burn out - much cheaper than therapy to undo the damage afterwards, and better anyway.

(Also what is magnetic polish? Does it make your hand stick to the fridge? o.O)

Kaderin Triste 12-27-2018 11:52 AM

Lol no. Magnetic polish is just a polish with very fine magnetic particles. So when you hold a magnet over it while it's wet, the particles will react and make designs like waves and stripes.
