CVS? Even some groceries stores. Jewel. Winn-Dixie. Publix. They should all have them in the candy section. <3 Good luck finding them!

*blink...blink...*

Um, are these American chains perhaps? Or stuff out east?

Serena Yuy 03-21-2012 01:41 AM

They're American. Some of the ones she listed are in the area she is.

Fauxreal 03-21-2012 01:43 AM

Oi! *lol!* Are you not American? Or do you not live in American. It's part of my ignorant American outlook that mostly everyone I meet online comes from here.

Serena Yuy 03-21-2012 01:54 AM

I sometimes forget I talk to people who don't live in my hometown, so they have no idea about the stores here :p

Fauxreal 03-21-2012 01:56 AM

I've living in the north US, and south US. Also visited across the globe - but I don't know the grocery stores everywhere.

Serena Yuy 03-21-2012 01:59 AM

I know of the chain grocery store in Finland (because of finnish tv I watch) I only know of a few stores in the Northeast. ^^"

Fauxreal 03-21-2012 02:04 AM

Well - maybe QMC would like to do a snack swap with me, Dots for - whatever is tasty where he comes from?

Kiddiss 03-21-2012 04:04 AM

To quote an old or dead comedian (I don't recall exactly who it was, but I want to say W.C. Fields): "Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker!" XD

Actually, I'm a candid fiend - but mostly chocolates.
I do like Jujubes and Dots (Ghost Dots -my fave ^_^).
However, because of the Sjögren's, I almost always have a sugarfree starlight mint in my mouth :/
Why, oh why can't chocolate do what starlight mints do (keep my mouth from drying out)?!

Quiet Man Cometh 03-21-2012 06:38 AM

Heh. No, I'm not American. I'm Canadian, and I vaguely recall going to a Walgreens once across the border somewhere either in Washington or Oregon. Not totally sure which. Despite living all of two hours or so from the border, I haven't been to the states in a while (unlike my sister and aunt who spend practically every other weekend in Seattle). The last time I was there was for a connection in Chicago on the way home from Sweden. That was 2009.

And just to be that much more annoying, I'm female. ;)

I don't know a lot about what can be found her versus the US, but I do know that friends bring things up from time to time, like odd candies or cereal brands that are hard to find up here. I heard rumour that the USA does not have Ketchup chips, or Coffee Crisp. Is this true?

Asami 03-21-2012 10:45 AM

such lovely avatars here O3o

Serena Yuy 03-21-2012 10:53 AM

Ketchup Chips and Coffee Crisp? I like the sound of the second thing. I may have tried Ketchup chips before. But, that wouldn't be surprising since I live in Western NY and am only a couple hours away from the Canadian border to Ontario (I live in Rochester). When I go to school in the Fall, I'll be closer.

Morning Asami ^^

I like Swedish fish! More fond of Swedish Berries though.

I'd eat dots all the time if I could find them at anytime other than halloween in tiny boxes.

I can buy some at this local chocolatier store nearby where I live. >w<
Only thing is that this place sells their stuff a bit more expensive than necessary, imo. >w>

I did take some pictures on my phone to upload and post here, but my phone's giving me issues with allowing me to upload them. =w=

Sorry about the wrong gender thing - your name threw me off - I'll try to remember it though. *nod nod*

It's true! America doesn't have those crazy chippies.

When your friends pop over - tell them! DOTS! WALGREENS! They are like a dollar a box on sale. Which they usually are.

Reyoki 03-21-2012 07:30 PM

Whut? We do too have ketchup-flavored chips! You have to go out to the 'hood to find 'em, though. I've never heard of coffee crisp, though.

Fauxreal 03-21-2012 07:33 PM

I've been to this 'hood you speak of - and still never seen them!
