If he called to ask if it was okay, I doubt you need to worry. It's if he was doing it without telling you, and then only mentioning it weeks later that you would have plausible cause for worry.

Blah. Was sick yesterday, but mom still made me go out shopping because of a massive sale on. Got out of bed to shop, came back and passed out again at 11pm. Got out of bed at 2pm the next day. I still feel a little tired even.
