it still sounds really neat dude

Dorian Pavus 11-12-2013 04:10 AM

I drink Green tea or this Cinnamon Cider flavored Tea my mom buys. : 0

Quiet Man Cometh 11-12-2013 04:14 AM

Can't say I've ever encountered the latter before.

Dorian Pavus 11-12-2013 04:22 AM

It's super strong so it wakes me right up just from the smell. xD < 3

Quiet Man Cometh 11-16-2013 10:57 PM

I don't think I've had that happen before, either. Is it an appetizing smell at least?

Salone 02-20-2014 06:03 AM

Surely everyone knows that Peppermint is superior!

Quiet Man Cometh 02-20-2014 07:21 AM

That would be what I grew up on, more or less. I would have my little tea service on an aluminum tray with sugar and cream and a miniature pot...it was quite the thing, but I had little else to do during the day.

Alas, no tea party this year for my birthday as we're trying to keep things on the easier end, but there shall be tea! Oh yes, there shall be tea.

Vicious Whisper 02-20-2014 05:05 PM

All I read was - Peppermint. :P

And sometimes that's all you need!

But no, there are tons of others that are grand. Peppermint is just special to me.

Quiet Man Cometh 02-20-2014 07:58 PM

I've been keen on my "tummy mint" tea of late. Chamomile and mint and a couple other things I imagine. Bedtime tea.

Fauxreal 02-21-2014 03:12 PM

I wish I could find that fruit tea I found in Germany. That was freaking fantastic. *sigh*

Quiet Man Cometh 02-23-2014 03:51 AM

Do you know the brand? Or was it something particular to a little store? A couple of the tea stores I frequent import from Germany, and the Lipton you find in Europe is so much better than the Lipton here. Makes me annoyed we don't have it! First time I encountered certain flavours of Green Tea and Russian Earl Grey.

Fauxreal 02-23-2014 10:02 PM

It's definitely not Lipton. All I remember is the bag was mostly clear, and it looked like actual dried fruit in the bag. I was really young and I didn't even think to write it down or anything. :(

Also....

COFFEE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

Quiet Man Cometh 02-24-2014 07:09 AM

What say you about coffee?

Or have you had to much and are now on a caffeine spazz a'la Twitchy?

Kilala Mikal 02-24-2014 03:27 PM

For the longest the only tea I drank was ice cold and sweet, and I preferred coffee to tea. But as I've gotten older, especially after my last pregnancy, I've found that I prefer tea to coffee. I really like Celestial Seasonings brand of teas. Their Sleepy Time blend was a god send the last time my 3 year old was sick. We'd add just a touch of honey and a little lemon, and it would help soothe his throat and calm him down. Here lately, I've been wanting fruity flavored teas, but we haven't had the funds to buy any, so I've been mixing a pack of kool-aid into the tea pitcher before I put it in the fridge. It's been a huge hit. We'll go through a gallon in an afternoon (3 adults and a 3 year old).

Ethereal 02-25-2014 02:21 PM

Lately I have been on a mint tea binge. I don't know if it is a craving because I am pregnant or if I just really like mint tea now. Usually I would go for chai tea, chamomile or green tea but..the mint is just getting to me. All I add to it (if it is a large mug) is one teaspoon of sugar and nothing else. I find the only tea I need to add milk/cream too is my chai tea. I prefer tea over coffee but I will drink both. Lately not so much coffee because you are not supposed to have a lot of caffeine while with child. -_-; Oh well, whatever I am content with my lovely teas. OOH! I LOVE rose tea as well, the delicate pink colour and lovely aroma are delicous ~ <3

Quiet Man Cometh 02-26-2014 08:13 PM

I've had tea with rose in it but never actual rose tea. That sounds like it would be good.

I used to live on Sleepytime tea. I always have a box around. Celestial Seasonings was the tea that I started with when I was a kid before I started to like black teas. I like their Morning Thunder tea as well (has a Bison on the box), a mix of black and Yerba Mate teas.

Inamorata 03-01-2014 09:07 AM

I got some orange cinnamon tea recently and it's delicious. I am obsessed with it at the moment, I am going to need more soon. I can't think of any teas I've tried that I dislike, but I'm not sure if I have tried a whole lot.

Quiet Man Cometh 03-03-2014 08:27 AM

I'm not a fan of Rooibos or most artificially flavoured teas, but that's it as far as specific categories. My stash has white, green, black, smokey, and herb teas, and yes, some Rooibos anyway.

Dug out my Lapsang Suchong today to give that a try. It's different stuff, and people around me kept wondering where the smokey smell was coming from. I liked it but I think I can only handle one cup at a time.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-30-2014 10:27 PM

I made it to the tea store I've been trying to get to for some months. Got my Assam Banaspaty, which I've apparently been spelling wrong throughout the entire thread here (the s comes before the p). It cost more than I like, but such happens. Apparently, it's a "malty" tea. Not sure what that means, really. My tea flavour lexicon is a bit lacking.

zosa 05-31-2014 12:52 AM

like barley tea?

Quiet Man Cometh 06-02-2014 01:19 AM

I'm not sure. When I think of "malty" I think of malt ball candies, or scotch (though my experience with the latter is nil) so perhaps something like that? Might be something grainy about it. Good tea though, and that's pretty much all I care about.

zosa 06-02-2014 01:23 AM

hm, though i am pretty boring, i only like orange & peoke cut black tea

Quiet Man Cometh 06-02-2014 01:56 AM

Isn't Orange Pekoe a black tea to begin with? About 70% of by beverage intake is tea, so I do like to vary things.

zosa 06-02-2014 02:40 AM

probably XD i dunno

Angel Spirit Girl 06-05-2014 10:24 PM

I like tea and cola. I especially like green tea and mint tea. My favorite way to have it is with lemon and honey or sugar. Stash teas has a very nice Red White and Blueberry tea. <3

zosa 06-10-2014 12:57 AM

sounds weird dude XD

Quiet Man Cometh 06-10-2014 03:48 AM

What do you mean by "Red White" tea, Angel? Is it a name?

zosa 06-10-2014 06:09 PM

i think red, white and blueberry is a tea blend

Quiet Man Cometh 06-10-2014 10:39 PM

*glares at lack of Oxford comma*

Ah. Makes sense I guess. I'm not totally sure if "red tea" is the same as roiboos or something different. Threw me a bit since those are also separate teas.

zosa 06-10-2014 11:23 PM

i've seen something for sell a few years ago with the same name, it smelled gross, granted not as bad as tea mixed with cola but still XD

Quiet Man Cometh 06-14-2014 01:27 AM

Co workers of mine used to mix green tea and hot chocolate all the time, and I can imagine carbonated tea, but not sure about the tea and cola thing. Could try it at some point though.

And my sister in law found Green Tea Pocky. Tastes like that powdered matcha. That is all.

buzz 06-14-2014 10:15 PM

Mmmmm tea.

Can I just say how happy I am to sign up for this site and right away see that there is an entire thread dedicated to tea :)

Teaaaa.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-15-2014 12:04 AM

There was a chocolate thread a while back. Thought I'd try a similar thing. ;)

Hello! I take it you're new here?

buzz 06-15-2014 08:33 AM

Hello! I am new, I joined last night.

I'm liking it here so far :)

Fauxreal 06-15-2014 10:49 PM

COFFEE!! COFFEE!! COFFEE!! *laughs maniacally!*

Quiet Man Cometh 06-22-2014 05:19 AM

I leave all the coffee choices to my brother in law, as he is the self proclaimed expert on the topic, and I have no wish to argue.

Tea.

Aenith 07-04-2014 12:44 PM

Love tea. Although I've been on a coffee kick lately, which is odd as it's been 90+ degrees for the past few months. :/
The body wants what the body wants, I suppose.

Quiet Man Cometh 09-03-2014 02:18 AM

That is does, like more tea.

I actually have a hot chocolate right now. How dare I! And it's not even a very good hot chocolate, for all the packet tries to sell itself.

Coda 09-03-2014 02:50 AM

I've recently established a new addiction -- dirty chai.

A spiced chai latte... with a shot of espresso in it.

I prefer it hot, but it's still good iced. It helps if you have really good spiced chai to start with instead of having chai latte already mixed up.
