What name did Dr. Frankenstein's monster choose for himself?

I believe he may have called himself, Legion, because he was comprised of many people.

What was the Incredible Hulk's original color? (For double points, what version of the Hulk sports it now?)
The original Hulk was flat gray. Wish I knew the name of the character that's gray now.

What name did Dr. Frankenstein's monster choose for himself?

In Mary Shelley's version he didn't have a name, although he did say to his creator 'I ought to be thy Adam' he was mainly known as 'the monster' or 'the demon'

"What name did Dr. Frankenstein's monster choose for himself?"

Not sure this is the answer you're looking for, but I'll say this fun fact - author Dean Koontz wrote a retelling of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, where his story takes place after the events in Shelley's book. Frankenstein's monster names himself Deucalion, for the namesake of the Greek figure Deucalion, son of Prometheus.

SPACE DUST! Although I did like the alien megastructure theory.

Correct! +125 points.

I did, too, but... honestly, it seemed a little far-fetched. Not because of the location, but because one would presume a structure on that scale would have a little more discernible activity of some kind, whether traffic, or some sort of emissions.
