True that, though I never buy any merchandise when I first put it out unless it is something truly fabulous because I just wait until then end of season when it goes on markdown.

I've found that I can't really wait for sales for seasonal items because they tend to sell out right away.

I also have the luxury of if I find something I REAALLY want I can always just hide it in the back until it goes 50-70% off and say "oops look what I just found."

What's annoying is a lot of seasonal stuff is marked at a "discount" the moment it hits shelves. Or the clearance sales seem to start a couple of weeks before the main events instead of after, now. |

I usually aim to look around sooner, but the past few years there seems to be something that happens to delay things. And so by the time I check, most of the items are already gone or on clearance. |
