Fey 04-16-2012 08:39 PM

the only upside to what I have to waer to work...I'm never unsure what I need to have in the morning LOL

Reyoki 04-16-2012 08:40 PM

I need a job. My hobbies are expensive.

Fey 04-16-2012 08:40 PM

I need a better job, my hobbies are all freakin' expensive!

Reyoki 04-16-2012 08:41 PM

Why do videogames, manga, and anime all have to be so expensive?!

Fey 04-16-2012 08:43 PM

cause they know we'll pay it, even if we have to mortgage a kidney. same with fabric, findings, crafting supplies and the like.

Fey 04-17-2012 09:12 AM

>.<
oh god, three days to modify a dress way to small to fit me to a size I can actually wear...this will be lovely....

Reyoki 04-17-2012 10:10 AM

You can do it, Fey-fey! *cheers you on*

Angel Spirit Girl 04-17-2012 06:11 PM

Actually, as I recall, in the Death of Superman story arc they did have "Supermen" .... and then they brought back the original one.

Fey 04-17-2012 09:06 PM

Well, the discussion is what you would call a 'cluster' of them, a group of Supermen, or a group of Supermans(or Batmen or Batmans). For Superman it would be Supermans(IE a name not a title) and for Batman it's Batmen(a title not a name). This is of course just our opinion...it was a fun arguement though.

I thought that happened as well.

Fey 04-18-2012 08:50 AM

I've never been a DC reader...watched all their cartoons, and most of their movies, but just never got into the comics.

Angel Spirit Girl 04-19-2012 12:19 AM

I still say if it ends in "man" the plural is "men".

I like watching super hero cartoons of almost any company.

Fauxreal 04-19-2012 07:28 PM

I'm a sucker for super-hero / comic book movies... even if they suck usually. There is just something I love about them. I feel like comic books are the fables and fairy tales of our generation.

Angel Spirit Girl 04-19-2012 09:14 PM

Yup. They do seem to be some of the folk tales/legends/myths of the current era.

Fey 04-20-2012 02:32 AM

:: tries to not explode in her 'waiting for the avengers to come out' excitement::
Yes, indeed.
And success!(sort of) Donna's dress is wearable enough for this weekend...y'know it's funny that for a person with no intention of getting married I have a LOT of wedding dresses.....

OoOh, A thread for cosplayers or things alike O3o

Fauxreal 04-20-2012 02:03 PM

Hi Memory! Love the name - I have a horrible memory myself.

Memory 04-20-2012 02:06 PM

ahaha XD Hello thar. =~=d
I think I also have a terrible memory.

Fauxreal 04-20-2012 02:13 PM

But you ARE Memory! <3 ha!

Memory 04-20-2012 02:21 PM

make things a little more ironic =~=. lol

Fauxreal 04-20-2012 02:29 PM

HAHAHAHA! Nice. Very nice.

Angel Spirit Girl 04-20-2012 09:27 PM

My memory is not that great either. XP Derp!

Fey 04-22-2012 10:09 PM

::rolls back into the thread::
after con decompression...
::waves:: hiya alls

Fauxreal 04-22-2012 10:40 PM

I have my con this weekend - Woah - it's gonna be crazy!

Fey 04-23-2012 07:38 PM

What's your con this weekend Faux? I just rolled back in from our local sci-fi/comic one...looking foward to an even larger comic one in less than two months(OMG TWO MONTHS TO GET THINGS DONE)

Fauxreal 04-23-2012 11:59 PM

Anime Central! In Chicagoland. <3 I'm staff, and I have a panel! Tons to do still!

Fey 04-24-2012 01:25 AM

Yikes, I'm sure! Nothing harder than trying to 'work' and have fun at a con! best of luck!

Espy 04-24-2012 01:25 AM

So...I'm probably not gonna be able to get that Altair cosplay for Fanime. -sadface-

Fey 04-24-2012 08:23 PM

aw, too bad espy! I know that fanime is only a month away now, so the low level cosplay panic can set in...very glad I'm bypassing it this year. Though I've a con in June that I'm settling into panic mode for.

Angel Spirit Girl 04-24-2012 09:02 PM

What are you going to cosplay in June, Fey?

Fey 04-24-2012 09:08 PM

It's going to pretty much be one character, with viola thrown in for a friend. The character's name is Meggan Braddock/Puceanu, she appeared in the first volume of Excalibur in the 80s and 90s. I've already got two of her costumes done, I'm going to throw together two of her 'casual' outfits for running around as well. Which shall work well as the con in June is Denver's first Comic Con

Fauxreal 04-24-2012 10:26 PM

That sounds awesome Fey!

I'm only dressing up like Ed from Shaun of the Dead. (Easiest cosplay I've ever done!)

Fey 04-24-2012 10:27 PM

Easiest for me was Donna Nobel from the Run Away Bride of Dr Who...my roommate did all the alterations all I had to do was put it on. I totally see the appeal of having someone else make a costume LOL

Fauxreal 04-24-2012 11:13 PM

I'm seeing if I can put a stempunk together super fast with what I have... I better go closet dive.

Fey 04-24-2012 11:15 PM

I need to work on my steampunk, I'm missing most of my accessories....

Fauxreal 04-24-2012 11:16 PM

Well - I just bough some googles... but I think they are more Cyber - than Steam...

Fey 04-24-2012 11:17 PM

I don't like how every steampunk seems to have goggles, I find it only appropriate if the 'career' your going for would require them. I'm a steampunk bodyguard, it's not likely I"d need or use goggles, so I don't have them.

Fauxreal 04-24-2012 11:18 PM

Right you are! But I love goggles myself... <3 *drool* Maybe it's because I wear glasses?

Fey 04-24-2012 11:19 PM

LOL see I'm the exact opposite, I wear glasses, so I do NOT enjoy goggles.
