Awe, that sounds similar to how my grandmother came to crocheting. She had one of those really large crochet needles and she could make rugs with her sewing scraps too small to be used in a quilt. And my mother wasn't either, though my grandmother was a saint. With the patience of a god and the willingness to both teach and correct errors she was a craftswoman through and through. And I know there are videos XD And probably thousands of written instructions too. Half the challenge for the videos is finding someone who holds the needle the same as me, because otherwise i have trouble, and instructions without one or two letter abbreviations are always nice, even if I can recognize many of them. But I will search for one on one of my days when I feel like crocheting~

It is true, a number of my friends from school claim to be a part of the 'scene' era and I find that all the music they listen to is angry, and I can't really get into it. Though, I gave a listen to English Curse and I have to say I like it a lot XD

Haha that works. Yeah I just have a motivation to try to craft and make things all the time... It's another one of those zen things, too. But I only have the patience for small projects, because even those take hours... XD. At this point I am generally able to pick up new patterns just from written instructions because I understand them clearly enough. But in the beginning I had to check and re-check videos to get it right.

Yeah, I am not talking about 'scene' era, I'm talking about the punk scene XD. But that's cool that you like it! Well, there is a difference between angry about everything and screaming about it to pointed anger in a relevant situation.

pretty avi sweetie, i did not think it as you at first XD

Honey 05-21-2012 10:59 PM

For me it is odd because while most of the time I have no hesitation to begin a project, I get in moods where I literally want to do nothing else except craft. Like, I wouldn't crochet for months or have the idea to and then BAM I am crocheting twelve hours a day for a week or two and then I lose my willingness to do them XD Half because of a sore hand and because I am just tired. But I know what you mean, it is similar to baking, where abbreviations make sense after you read them often, but when you begin you're like 'what does Tsp. mean?'. It just takes practice -w-

Exactly~ Plus English Curse it is really catchy XD and rhymes well

And D'aw, is it really not me, Cho? xD

littl3chocobo 05-21-2012 11:02 PM

it kind of is but it is not expected XD

Honey 05-21-2012 11:03 PM

Now that I can see xD I like it, but not a whole lot. I will keep revising it and making new ones

littl3chocobo 05-21-2012 11:05 PM

got new glasses?

Honey 05-21-2012 11:07 PM

Nah, I got new ones fairly recently, remember?

littl3chocobo 05-21-2012 11:08 PM

i know two sets but you said you can see now i figured that to be the reason

Honey 05-21-2012 11:09 PM

u-u non, silly

femme gauche 05-21-2012 11:10 PM

Yes it is kind of exactly like that, just in a different medium. And I sort of do that as well but I don't tend to leave it completely for any length of time... But I'll be sort of not doing anything with it for awhile and then it'll be all clear and then... nothing. So I am trying to do motifs - small things which can be put together to make larger things - to help keep progress going.

Yes, catchy, rhymes well - those are lovely aspects as well. And generally important in making a song fun to listen to.

littl3chocobo 05-21-2012 11:10 PM

so paint lady, hi? >>;

littl3chocobo 05-21-2012 11:13 PM

post in silk and brb, one last lookie-loo for food before i decide to leave the house or not

Honey 05-21-2012 11:13 PM

...paint lady? ;n; and ah...okay cho

That is one things motifs do, they take a little bit but once you work on enough of them it gives you something to put together later.

and yus. Or even if it is not direct rhymes, words that simply flow

Honey 05-21-2012 11:17 PM

what would the prince do when he makes her go walk with him, cho?

littl3chocobo 05-21-2012 11:32 PM
