Honestly, it's more like...these past two weeks, which have been difficult.

I was swinging as I woke up on the recovery bed.

Espy 01-25-2018 10:22 PM

So like, your first instinct after basically waking up was "fite me".

Den 01-25-2018 11:13 PM

whereas mine is either search for whatever dollkid I brought with me, or fixate on wildlife if I see them outside.

I've had teeth pulled but I was awake for them. With numbing agent. I don't really want to think about how much it would have hurt without, because it REALLY hurt >_<

Den 01-25-2018 11:51 PM

and that's why I opted for sedation.

Espy 01-26-2018 12:06 AM

I got so scared of having needles *in my mouth* (for the numbing stuff) that I once opted to get a tooth pulled without numbing at all.

It hurt a cubic fuckton. In retrospect, it was probably not the best idea, but I didn't regret it :|

...Espy, you are a badass.

KittyBeary 01-26-2018 02:34 AM

If I had to get a tooth pulled I would definitely opt for sedation. x_x I had my wisdom teeth removed a while back but I had to be sedated for that since they didn't grow above the gums. :'D

I had my wisdom teeth out between my senior year and first year of college. one of 'em was impacted.

I was a kid :| My parents panicked but I stubbornly refused to get a numbing shot, and my dad actually *drove home from work* to make sure I was okay. There was some Advil involved, but I was (and still am) really tiny, so I couldn't take a full dose of painkillers.

@___@ crazy...

i had a bad experience with a dentist as a kid, so i rarely went to the dentist. 5-6 years ago, my mom had $3k saved up for medical that she had to use, so we got a lot of my bad teeth pulled and a couple of root canals done. last year, with the miracle of medicaid, i got the rest of my bad teeth pulled and dentures made. thankfully this last year's dentist was super super nice and thorough. he remarked how well i "behaved". i was counting how many he was extracting, and before i knew it, he was all "all done" and i was like "wait...i only counted 5...you did all 8?!?!?" xD sure some of it hurt, but i kept telling myself it'd be over before i knew it. then after all that, i went to work. people at my job thought i was insane, but i just told them that i wouldn't be able to talk for a few days and if i needed to sit down, i would have to, but i'd try to get my job done as normal. i really did love that job :(

Serra Britt 01-26-2018 01:16 PM

I have a feeling I will lose some teeth the next time I go to the dentist. But I really don't know. I just need to go. >_>

Cats.

I have no idea what I was thinking. I usually don't wake up fighting, but I found when my mind started working, that somehow I was clutching my little doll that I'd left with my mom before the surgery, too. I know I'm an aware sleeper. I'm starting to suspect that even fully sedated, they were having trouble keeping me on the table. All of my wisdom teeth impacted. One was growing out the side of my jaw, and they had to remove another tooth to get at it, and then sew the other tooth back in.

My mom used to get all her tooth work done unfrozen, because she had a bad reaction to the numbing agent.

ok I'm scared of Espy now

also I still don't have my wisdom teeth I think it reflects my maturity level
