that sounds even cooler! I mean, not cool she's an apocalypse knight, but she starved so bad she became the spirit of famine.

after almost three years without 'em, I finally have glasses again.

Woah horse riding! That sounds like fun~

XD I just furnish my houses with whatever the characters get as drops. Though I DID buy a few more trees for my unicorn cottage.

Just got a new house for Christmas.

Mmm, it's an mmo that uses cards to fight monsters and everyone's a wizard-type class using special sets of cards. Is turn-based, as far as I remember.

Yuuup. Turn based. Only the first part's free, but if you look at the game you can really see where the money goes. They put a lot of work into the. For example, my unicorn mount? Has a different hoof sound for every surface it runs on, a whinny sound, a little musical flourish, a rearing fidget, and a head tossing and pawing fidget. Aaaand, you don't need premium currency to buy yourself a mount. Some of them can be bought for game gold. And included in those game gold mounts are little dragons, brooms, and fat ugly ponies (which I have one of and love. I named him Slug).

'Pirate 101' is also turn based, but battles are laid out more like a board game, and you get a crew to train up and a pet that will fight beside you (my little paper Chinese dragon's gotten to where he can sometimes take out two mobs in one shot).

And they look really nice.

Den 12-01-2016 05:02 PM

Image under the spoiler of the new glasses. Last night I kinda had a panic attack because it turns out they're a little too narrow... but they're bendable and I was able to gently bend them so they don't push into my head as much.

trystan830 12-01-2016 05:20 PM

Nice, Den!!

Tam I am 12-01-2016 05:26 PM

I hear you on the narrow glasses, Den. Though I can't remember if it ever freaked me out. I just have permanent ridges on the sides of my head. I kind of wonder if they'll show on my skull someday.

ml1201 12-01-2016 05:36 PM

Yay for new glasses!~

mdom 12-03-2016 01:42 AM

Man, I can't imagine living without my glasses @_@
but I am very nearsighted. VERY nearsighted. Like I can't read a palm ahead nearsighted.

Glitch 12-03-2016 02:11 AM

me too mdom! 20/2000 vision!

Tam I am 12-03-2016 07:10 PM

*sets tripping hazards in front of mdon and Glitch*

*and pillows to fall on*

Lawtan 12-03-2016 08:48 PM

...essentially it's all blurs except right at my nose here.
Me using binoculars: Wait! Most folk can see depth?! xD

...Anyway...
*Puts big flashing lights on most of Tam's traps...then falls over one into a pillow-pie.

("Pillow" here meaning "Marshmallow")

Potironette 12-03-2016 08:52 PM

I can't live without glasses either, reading books in big print is impossible unless I put it approximately 4 inches from my face X'D.

Den 12-04-2016 12:54 AM

I'm just the opposite. I'm farsighted, but just farsighted enough that I need glasses for reading and computer work, but not for driving or daily stuff.

mdom 12-04-2016 02:26 AM

Together combined we are ---
blurry eyed! xD
/falls on all pillows

Potironette 12-04-2016 03:08 AM

“Her gray eyes clear blurry, the goddess Athena answered, "Down from the skies candy shop I come to check flop on your rage if only you will yield pillows”

__ eyed always makes me think of Athena or Telemachus XD

Tam I am 12-04-2016 05:21 PM

ROTFLMBO. Potironette, I love that reply!

Me, I used to have twenty twenty vision only messed up by muscles that were fried by high fevers, so I needed glasses to focus and to shield my eyes from the sun. Now though, I can't read smaller print easily without glasses. I have bifocals for when I'm away from the computer, and another pair of single vision ones for the computer. The computer glasses are dark plastic nerd frames garnished with rhinestones. I like them very much.

Potironette 12-04-2016 06:39 PM

Oh dear, those high fevers sound scary D:
Nerd frames look nice! I have metal frames with paint chipping off them though XD.

mdom 12-04-2016 10:05 PM

Glaukos, Athena's eyes *___*

What were these fevers from?

My away from the computer frames are metal, with plastic arms! Same style as one of my friends here has, but a different colour.

The fevers were scary at the time. I had red measles when I was twelve, while my family (six kids and two adults at the time) were living in a tent trailer in the Penticton area of BC. There was no way for our parents to keep us in the dim light, so my eyes were so fried that for awhile I couldn't even see in sunlight.

Then, in my early twenties, I got chicken pox while volunteering at a daycare. I was living alone, and so delirious that I was hallucinating and waking up in places I didn't remember going to. So I started laying in my friends' backyard while they worked in the garden. It was bright out there, but they couldn't help me more other than making sure I had fluids, because they were elderly and the gentleman hadn't had chicken pox. It took me about a year after the chicken pox to stop sleeping nearly every time I sat down. :p-laugh:

ml1201 12-05-2016 05:05 PM

I can probably be considered legally blind without my glasses. ^^;

Potironette 12-05-2016 06:16 PM

Those fevers are really scary D:

I can walk without my glasses, but when someone says hi to me and I don't know them too well, I'll have no clue who they are XD

Den 12-06-2016 01:56 AM

so I've been pretty busy the past few days... working on my boyfriend's Christmas gift. I'm nearly done with the first part... Image under the spoiler :)

trystan830 12-06-2016 11:56 AM

very cool, Den!

Tam I am 12-06-2016 02:05 PM

Den's mitts are fueled by BSing over IM, ranting about stupidstuffs over same, and griping about a stubborn and dopey dog.

Oh yeah. Guys, she needs hugs. Something sad happened yesterday. No people were lost in it, but it was sad.

*sticks big soft trippy pillow in front of you too*

*and then steps back, trips over another one, and lands on my aft on it*

I sometimes have no idea who someone is when I CAN see them! LOL

ml1201 12-06-2016 03:23 PM

lol, Silly Tam. XD People used to joke saying I'll end up with bottle-bottom glasses...until they see the current thickness of my glasses. >>;

Potironette 12-06-2016 05:01 PM

*hugs Den*

Lol XD
I normally don't notice the thickness of glasses. After I took them off a moment ago to see, I realized they were a lot thicker than I'd thought X'D.

Lawtan 12-06-2016 06:08 PM

*Sets up a nice comfy chair with drawing stuff and a blankie for Den*

Tam I am 12-06-2016 08:24 PM

Oh man. Is it hard to clean glasses that you can't see without?

Den 12-06-2016 09:02 PM

What happened was that I had my pet air plant, Bob, soaking in a cup of water on the counter, which I did every few days because that seemed to work best. Dad came home, saw the cup on the counter, thought it was just holding water, and dumped the whole thing down the drain. I came upstairs to bring something to the kitchen, and to get Bob out of the water and the excess dried off so I could put him back in his wine glass home, and the cup was empty. I asked Dad where my plant was, and he got this "Oh, crap" look on his face as he realized what he'd done.

Tohopekaliga 12-06-2016 10:01 PM

Poor Bob. :(

Tam I am 12-06-2016 11:52 PM

*hug a Den*

mdom 12-06-2016 11:57 PM

I use special lenses, so my glasses aren't bottle-bottoms xD but they would be.

Tammm I'm happy you don't have that fevers anymore D:

Potironette 12-07-2016 12:55 AM

D: *hugs Den*

ml1201 12-07-2016 02:57 PM

Oh dear, well, at least now if you get another one your dad will keep a better eye out? ^^;

Nooo. Now I just have a stiff shoulder from going out in the cold yesterday. XD

Potironette 12-07-2016 03:46 PM

*Gives Tam lots of hand warmers*

Tam I am 12-07-2016 03:51 PM

LOL It wasn't my hands that were cold once I'd bought some mitts. It was my shoulders and back... despite me wearing three shirts and a coat on them!

Potironette 12-07-2016 04:16 PM

*Sews hand warmers onto Tam's coat*

That's a lot of shirts! How many degrees was it :o ?

Tam I am 12-07-2016 04:28 PM

Only nineteen below zero Celcius, but the windchill made it feel like thirty below Celcius.

Potironette 12-07-2016 04:30 PM

...Only! That's below freezing point! Where I live its still really warm xD
