Thanks...
I'll add books overnight...
Plutonium (Pluto's Gate of Hades)...
Some Chemistry...
Some Plate Tectonics...
A Bible/Dead Sea Scrolls reference...

Hey, what would people like to see more here?

Kilala Mikal 03-22-2014 12:44 AM

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, today's been a rough day. -_-

That sounds really nifty Law. Maybe I'll give it a try with you sometime next week.

Tam, she was part of a small herd. 1 billy, 2 female adolescents, and another nanny that was about the same age as her (I think it was her sister?). She was the only one that would get out. I swear she was a devil ninja, lol.
I'll have to try and whip up another one; one that's not blinding. XD

And have you thought about downloading Chrome? I switched over about 2 years ago. Firefox gave me too many problems with the games I was trying to play on facebook...

Lawtan 03-22-2014 03:55 AM

*Gives Kilala an ICEE* :D

Why is Slender on my mind lately...along with Cthulhu, Zalgo, Nagash, and others...?

Kilala Mikal 03-22-2014 12:16 PM

*noms* Ermahgerd... *Homer Simpson drool face (doughnut) noise* I haven't had an ICEE in years! <3

I only recognized a couple of those. Who are they? I don't really know much about the two I recognized. o.o

Lawtan 03-22-2014 12:26 PM

Slender Man - Internet Urban Legend of a pedo-suit wearing-tentacle-no face-interference monster

Cthulhu - One of Lovecraft's "Old Gods" - an alien that will drive you insane by it mere knowledge...and devour everything.

Nagash - Founder of Necromancy in another game mythos...goal is to rule over a world of undead, where nothing is done without his control.

Zalgo - Internet Urban Legend said to be the cause of all comic/childhood show corruption. Looks like the Greek Typhon (many eyes, heads, limbs etc)

Ahhhh. Then she was just the kind of goat that you have to eat. LOL I remember one we had. She used to get out, and we couldn't figure out why, and she couldn't figure out why we'd be mad at her. So one day we drove her at the nearly six foot gate, and this long legged white youngster looked at us funny because we hadn't opened it for her. But then she JUMPED IT FROM A STANDING START like a deer. I don't think she came out again after that. But we did see her up a tree that the cat tractor had shoved over to a leaning position once.

Firefox has always worked for me, and I've heard stories about Chrome's recalcitrance, so I never considered it. That, and most the games I run into online recommend Firefox.

Are they favourite characters?

And did you guys know that Mr. Rogers and Captain Kangaroo used to be Marines?

Kilala Mikal 03-22-2014 02:36 PM

Yeah... I think they finally sold all of their goats, except the billy. The billy wound up dying. I can't remember why, though. He wasn't that old, less than five years old. I think her (the ninja) watermelon bellied self would climb the fence around the pen. It was only waist high on me and I'm like 5"7. Plus I think it was because there was no grass at all in the pen. Those people didn't take very good care of their animals. The mom left it up to her kids to take care of the animals and didn't really make sure they did what they were supposed to. The 3 months I was there, I think I wound up being the one to feed and water them most of the time. They had the pygmy goats, 4 dogs (2 were free roam and they lived on a busy main road, and 2 were kept in small pens), and 6 or 7 chickens. I really did feel sorry for those animals... :(

Chrome has given me fewer problems than Firefox did. Firefox is still really laggy for me. :/

I didn't know about Captain Kangaroo, but I did Mr. Rogers. Did you know that the reason he always wore long sleeves was because he had tattoos all over his arms?

Tam I am 03-22-2014 09:41 PM

That's not a tall enough fence for goats. And eesh.

Firefox never lagged for me till this last update, and it's hit and miss with the lagging, the weirdo.

Yup! Just read that on the thing about them.

Lawtan 03-23-2014 04:19 PM

Umm...can I get some advice for organizing/prioritizing ideas?

I have 5+ mentally well-developed Fictional worlds...with not a dot on paper.

I have a large number of inventive ideas that I need to learn more before I can actually layout the schematics.

I have multiple drawings in my mind...
I have things I am drawing...
I have 4 classes...
I have exercising and physical skills to practice...
I have digital and 3D crafting to do...
I have family to worry about...
I have independent projects to finish...
I have instruments to practice...
I have animals to take care of...
And somewhere in there is online stuff, sleep, and eating.

Halp?

Tam I am 03-23-2014 04:32 PM

Erm, personally I'd go, School first, then critters (they need food), then family (only don't worry), but I'm not sure about the rest.

A friend of mine gave me a link to the comics she works on and a summary of the stories. She's excited because they have a kickstarter going, and asked me to tell people. You guys are about the only people of the comics age that I know that she doesn't know too. o.0 That, and I noticed we have a shelf for comic books here! :D

LINK!

Lawtan 03-23-2014 07:46 PM

Sorry...just thought some advice would help since you seem to be good with your multi-world fiction.

Sorry I've been meh in general here. *Hugs the people in the Library*

I added yours...and a personal one I liked. Yes, it's a furry comic. No, that is not why I like it. I feel it is decently written and flows from laughter to warmhearted moments to tears.

Tam I am 03-23-2014 10:07 PM

Ohhhh. I hadn't realized that you were actually asking me. Sorry! Well, with writing down stories, I always have a lot more in backstory than what actually gets written, but as the man who wrote 'Pacific Rim' says, that's okay. Having background that's never actually written, but is referred to, gives depth to a world. As to getting some written down, I find that having a friend to show the world to really helps, which is why so much of my stuff is in the RP stories. Also, not worrying about telling the story in a traditional style also helps. Write it down in a way that's comfortable to you, be that script form, flash fiction, drabbles (drabbles are a lot of fun to string together as a series of little glimpses and scenes that form a longer story when read together). Another reason that I RP is to help others get their worlds written down, and that's why my RP journal is named Random Xtras. LOL Many of the characters are the extras and foils to bring out the tale. And another thing that I don't always worry about is getting things typed out. I have stories that have never left their notebooks, and others that were handwritten into notebooks first. For me, working in cursive can help my thoughts flow and makes me feel connected to the story.

Aww. I've actually read a pretty good furry webcomic, it was about genius kids (who sometimes blow things up). But it updated like daily, and I couldn't keep up with it. It's called, I think 'Precocious'.

Lawtan 03-24-2014 11:13 PM

Well, I'd accept any help in world development... I may start a thread or two for it. Thanks :D

I added a chunk of physics...PHYSICS!!!

(And the statements are not unrelated)

Also, any advice on how to better organize my Library for public use...or things to look into for you all that I'd add? :D

Tam I am 03-24-2014 11:29 PM

If you've time for one more site, I recommend making a Dreamwidth account. Then sometimes you could get some semi oppressive grammar nazi old lady pointers or playing. It's also a really good spot to make locked entries for stuff you don't want to lose.

Well, I like your library. I told a friend about it, referring to it as an online library I know. I'll think about things to add. And once my brain is working better again I'll bring in another webcomic link to a really good SW type one that is funny and well done.

NikkoGallarado 03-25-2014 11:06 PM

*slinks in looks around* Hmmm.....books....*likes books*

I am the manry-est of men!

Lawtan 03-25-2014 11:06 PM

Thank you, Tam <3

I'll look into Dreamwidth when I have time.
I am surprised this Library has worked as well as it has. Thank you guys for that. It helps to know at least one thing I am doing right :D

*Adds some new Recipies to the Cafe*

Well, I think I'll be turning in early tonight. Hugs to all, and free Cobbler!

----

O.O Nikko!!! Welcome!

Tam I am 03-26-2014 12:37 PM

Welcome! :D

Oh! That's another thing you could do, Law. DW uses easy html for links, and you could back up your library there. I just realized that my journal's practically a library.

Apple cobbler? Peach?

I hope you had a good sleep! *hug*

Kilala Mikal 03-26-2014 03:47 PM

*sneaks through to snag a bit of black berry cobbler then goes to check out the new recipes*

Ahhh sorry for the late reply. *looks around* Hn...

I am the manry-est of men!

Kilala Mikal 03-27-2014 04:24 PM

*pokes through the shelves while sipping on a smoothie* Hi all!

Lawtan 03-27-2014 04:51 PM

Hello there, Kilala. Any books you like?

Tam I am 03-27-2014 08:40 PM

bacon badger! XD, and a funny article about old recipes.

French toasted salmon sandwich.

Lawtan 03-28-2014 04:39 AM

Added, along with an "occult" section.

Only one link so far, and no offense, but I would not recommend this one. (Aleister Croweley, in my opinion, was a few loops short of a fruit loop).
He is considered a "modern master & pioneer" of black (materialistic/amoral/selfish) magic.

Kilala Mikal 03-28-2014 08:25 AM

Sorry for the long time in responding. I had a huge thing typed up, and my browser decided to say, "Screw YOU!" and I lost all the stuff I had typed. orz So in my frustration, I put it off until this morning.

ANYWAY, I like a lot of the recipes you've shared, and have saved a few of them for future reference. I never thought I'd see the day I would be saving recipes like I do, haha.

I was kind of saddened that the link for Trisphee's Japanese Thread doesn't actually work.

Potential New Additions to This Awesome Place:
Diabetic Recipes
Stretches to Relieve Back Pain
Japanese Culture <~ This one has a nice set of links towards the bottom of the page.

Umaeril 03-28-2014 11:31 AM

Hi Lawtan, if you are still interested, I know a lot about organizing and prioritizing. Some of it is subjective to what you think is personally important and some is generally objective. If you want to discuss we can. Either here or pm. If you are all good then that is great!

Lawtan 03-28-2014 01:48 PM

Uma, *hugs*
I am somewhat improving, but help/advice would be appreciated, yes.

I guess my top priority is "help others..." regardless of the repercussions...

Tam I am 03-28-2014 03:26 PM

Sounds like my top priority, Lawtan.

Kilala! *hug* XD That bacon badger thing cracked me up. But I can imagine it tasting good with turkey bacon, which is lovely boiled or steamed. Speaking of Japanese culture, I just read an old book called 'Bushido'. It was very interesting, though as I say, old. I wanted to keep it, but the way it was constructed and bound caused me wrist damage. So I'll look for an ebook version sometime, since other than that edition the book seems to be out of print now.

Lawtan 03-28-2014 07:34 PM

Tam, This it?

The Japanese thread link fails? O: I'll have to fix that.
I'll add the links momentarily

Umaeril 03-28-2014 07:56 PM

I have heard of Bushido, but not the book. The way of being. Hello Tam! ^_^

Hey Lawtan, well ok it actually does sound like you are better! I am glad of that. But if you ever get tangled up in things just list them out like you did then talk out which choices are the best. Otherwise, what are you up to?

Lawtan 03-28-2014 08:04 PM

>.> Still rather tangled up, tbh.

I am really good at appearing calm until I am about to snap. Deep inquiry usually reveals that rather quickly. ;_;

HABIT 03-29-2014 03:57 PM

Hello, how's it going today?

Tam I am 03-29-2014 06:11 PM

I had an awesome shopping experience today. As I hate clothes shopping, that's saying something! But now I think I have all the pants I need, and I have three lovely new T shirts that fit. And two pair of brand new pants, and three brand new T shirts cost less than a hundred dollars Canadian. :s-excited:

Hopefully, what I just did will make it easier to browse the Library.

Sometimes everybody needs a day like that.

*looks at library* Ooooo, nice!

Lawtan 03-30-2014 02:47 PM

Your chicken...it's working!

And...I am annoyed with my Java Class. In order to complete an assignment I had to spend 2 hours finding what was wanted, possibly exposing my computer to malware. :P Thanks, class, thanks. *Is running a strong Antivirus scan*

To hear me rant like a half true but mostly rant-y person, click the Spoiler.

I feel a bit like an idiot, now. A large portion of Leonardo da Vinci's Works are now available.

Kilala Mikal 03-30-2014 03:31 PM

*takes a gander at the grand entrance to the Library*

*Dee-dee like Oooooo-ooooh* Very nice, Law! :)

Tam! Your giant chicken is finally working! Your av looks so happy about it, too, lol.
