Pokémon has always been a seriously dark setting beneath its bright, cheery exterior.

I've noticed Sun & Moon pokedex entries are rather more...harsh than previous ones.

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:02 AM

Yeah, I choose not to think too hard about it, that's why I say could, lol.
Yeah, only the bigger Pokemon would be actually able to fly people. No chance of flying on the smaller ones, even if they can learn Fly in the game.
And who knows, they may be bigger in real life than in the games.

Potironette 11-23-2016 01:03 AM

Well, I do remember Team rocket trying to eat some fish. And something about Professor whats-his-name-he's-the-first-guy eating slow-something tails.

The fact that people get blown into the sky's deadly

Shadami 11-23-2016 01:04 AM

Slowpoke tails are a delicacy.

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:05 AM

Yeah, or being burned, poisoned, shocked, downed, dropped, etc to death. Lots of deadly real life things that you would have to be extra careful about.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:06 AM

poor magikarp is common fare XD poor guy can't get a break

dude, more harsh than having your innards liquified and sucked out?

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:17 AM

Magikarps are hard to cut though, they have really tough, sharp scales.

-shivers- That sounds horrible.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:20 AM

many irl fish are and do as well XD

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:21 AM

Ah, I don't go fishing or eat many fish.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:23 AM

i dont either XD buuut i do like cooking and cookbooks

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:24 AM

I just Google recipes. Google is life, lol.
I used to have a few cookbooks, but lost a lot.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:25 AM

i dont trust google, i have more cookbooks than i have bones XD

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:26 AM

That's a lot! I think I just have two left now.
Though mom brought home some for me to look through.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:27 AM

yup, three bookcases full of 'em<3<3

well good on her ^^

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:29 AM

Very nice! I want to replenish my books when we finally get a stable house of our own.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:30 AM

we are moving into our first(non-parent-owned) house and i have more books than i think will comfortably fit in the craft room

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:33 AM

Just gotta make one room a library. ^_^
Hard copies are just so much better than digital books.
I love to smell the pages.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:33 AM

X''D you don't know me ver well, all of all the rooms aside from the potty is a library, hahaha

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:34 AM

Ah, just have book cases covering the walls of the whole house. ^_^

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:40 AM

shoo, that would be nice but i think i am the only one who'd appreciate it XD

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:46 AM

Hmm, maybe just gotta get some creative bookcases and fit books in wherever you can.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 01:49 AM

hahaha, maybe XD right now i have more books than cases but the new house has 3 built-on and two half insets so i might have just enough for the time being

dragoness129 11-23-2016 01:58 AM

Ah, nice! Put Bookcases and books on your Christmas list. ^_^

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:01 AM

hahaha, those are daily necessities XD

dragoness129 11-23-2016 02:12 AM

Yeah, if I had some spare money, they would be for me as well.
I love finding books at yard sales. You can get some amazing ones for so cheap!

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:14 AM

for me it is not 'if' i would rather spend my last bit of money on a book than a breadroll

dragoness129 11-23-2016 02:15 AM

I have to take care of my family first. Need to save up for a house too. T_T

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:16 AM

hahaha, see above XD

dragoness129 11-23-2016 02:18 AM

Yeah. But I have twin girls. Gotta get them something for Christmas.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:19 AM

how about books? XD

dragoness129 11-23-2016 02:24 AM

My girls don't quite yet have a love of reading like myself and my husband have. They Like to read some, but not a deep Love of it. Hopefully it will grow over time and we all can be a love of reading family. ^_^

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:29 AM

you can't just hope XD it has to be cultivated~ i was reading at three(though not fully comprehending on my own until about 6-7) and i love books<3<3 i had soooo many as a kid

dragoness129 11-23-2016 02:32 AM

Yeah, I keep handing them books and telling them to go read rather than watch tv. They get books from their school library. A few times a week they will lay in the bed and read. The other times they don't listen though when I tell them to go read. Whenever they say they are bored, I tell them to go read. I keep encouraging them to read. If the library around here wasn't so stupid with not being able to get a library card, I would be going there often and letting them get books.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:37 AM

get rid of the tv and read with them? let them pick their own books more often and while taking books home is not feasible do more in'library excursions?

dragoness129 11-23-2016 02:44 AM

We have gotten rid of their tv, but they keep wanting to watch ours. My husband us using the tv as his computer monitor.
That wouldn't be bad, if we had a car to get to the library.
Hoping that life will get better soon. We still have been trying to get back on our feet after an incident that happened in 2012.
Why does like require a lot to just survive? >_<

Anyways, hope you have a good night.

littl3chocobo 11-23-2016 02:48 AM

if the only tv in the house is a computer moniter i am not seeing the problem XD or do you mean you have a lot of tvs? if you have a lot then get rid of them? it's mentally draining and has a lot of easily seeable sideeffects, assuredly

Kitarun 11-23-2016 09:04 AM

Mrrrr.... Too early...
*stumbles in, just managing to not spill my coffee*

Tohopekaliga 11-23-2016 10:43 AM

Morning, Kita.

Reading is nice...the kids will probably arrive at it in their own time with both parents doing it s lot. :)

Shadami 11-23-2016 11:19 AM

My kids demand books to be read to trim. I have the reverse problem there. ^^;;

Kitarun 11-23-2016 02:04 PM

Haha. Demand that they read the book to you instead.

Anybodyy know what items have cat ears in copper/bronze tones? Like, my hair color?
