popping by to say hi, and I hope all has been well!
|
Moi!! I hope things are ok with you, too! Good luck with the election today!!!
|
My father and I voted early already, but he just told me he drove by our polling location on the way home and there were Trump people who were wearing outfits and decorated vehicles lined up all around it to intimidate voters it seemed.
Edit: He actually got footage of it with our dashcam if you want to see how ridiculous it was. |
How ridiculous >:( they're such sore losers
yess show me the video |
It was before the results, though. This area still voted mostly for him. Gerrymandering ruins things.
|
Disgusting... the whole system needs to be reformed
also there were protests here against Biden, how dumb are they |
I think some people just like to protest.
We can start our own, like support causes for people to not block shopping aisles. |
hehe I'd be protesting against my mom!
but yes, I support |
Yay, you're here!! You're always supposed to protest them anyway. I hope they are doing okay, though and not torturing you too much.
|
My mom's head is not ok... she kept saying we needed to buy 'easter eggs' and not christmas cakes.
|
Ah, maybe the holidays just blend together by a certain point. But in all honesty, that can't be easy.
|
Lots of things to worry about this season, especially with my sister visiting
and the dogs being demons as usual |
I can wrangle the dogs for you. Not sure about your sister.
But you can vent whenever you feel like it, or where ever. Even if I don't have a proper response, I can at least nod accordingly...well in text form. |
The demon dog obviously bit me and my mom |D
I've been stressed bc recently a childhood friend came to visit He had a mask and didn't come inside, but we were at the garden and he couldn't smell the plants... |
Not cool!
Did it turn out okay? Or did he develop other symptoms? |
I'm not sure, probably bc I haven't seen posts of him in events |D
but no one at home developed anything, fortunately |
That's a relief. I wish there was some sort of astronaut type helmet we could wear for more protection. But with more visibility. I don't really want to go back to not wearing masks, though.
|
oooh like those people on the internet wearing a milk gallon on their head |D but like, better to see and breathe
My only gripe is that it's too hot for masks here. I do wish to keep being unknown |
Just poke holes for cooling vents!
I like being more anonymous with them too, yet people like cashiers who see hundreds of faces a day remember me still. So, they don't seem to help that much with it. |
AC mask! I should patent that
ehehe it's your distinct eyebrows! You need a forehead cover. |
I know some companies make masks that are supposed to be more cool feeling, but I can't attest to how effective they are.
I can't help but think I just ask goofy enough to be memorable in that regard. |
Or you ask politely enough!
I'd wear a jacket with AC... they gotta be cheaper now, due to global warning |
That sounds like it would look like Missy Elliot's outfit in "The Rain" music video. Would also be good for social distancing.
|
oooh it's a very cool outfit!!
are you watching drag race america or drag race uk |
I'm watching the American one, but not the UK version.
|
Ah right. The uk is nice tho! They had a reveal runway and someone revealed into the same dress as before, iconic
what are you thinking? what are your faves |
I'll try to watch it when they start airing it here. It's usually a couple of weeks off.
Haven't really been that into it. Maybe it'll get better. There's been some really nice looks, though. Utica has been interesting. Anyone standing out for you? |
I hated the premiere format so much u.u stop coming up with twists, Ru!!!
Symone!! She's flawless |
Her last runway was everything. I love how street fashion and high fashion are merging. Unless they're like Jeremy Scott and go into offensive appropriation territory.
|
Gotta hand it to black fashionistas to do it the right way!
|
It's finally happening and I'm curious to see how things will change post-pandemic. But with fashion in general, it seems to be evolving less about one big name designer and more into just a team of designers. Although some still keep the name of one main designer.
|
that's a good development!! No more idolizing one person as the fashion genius but instead working together
|
As much as John Galliano is forever cancelled, at least for me, the Maison Margiela youtube channel has posted a couple of behind the scenes video that has a lot of value if you're at all interested in seeing the full process of how they've developed their latest collections. Especially during a pandemic. Even more disappointing that Nick Knight is working with him. But it's still interesting to see the process because they show so much content.
Although, Loïc Prigent's youtube channel is the greatest for behind the scenes content. But I've forever been a fan of his years before he even had a channel, because of his fashion documentaries and shows with Mademoiselle Agnès. He does use click-bait titles, but it's intended to be very tongue-in-cheek. |
How is Galliano still working!!! Why is fashion such a problematic industry.
ooh I'm gonna look into mr prigent's channel then. |
Loïc is legit. Karl Lagerfeld gave him a lot of special access throughout the years.
The docu-series Signe Chanel and The Day Before might be worth watching if you can find them uploaded anywhere, or maybe you've already seen them. |
I don't think I have!
I've been watching series only... finished Leverage, it was fun |
Ah, I remember that being pretty popular at the time. My father liked it. I know it has one of the actors from Angel.
|
It's from the same creators of The Librarians!
Actually there's going to be a leverage reboot and Noah Wyle will take part |
I think I gave The Librarians a try but didn't get very far. Maybe you and my father could find shows for each other to watch. I think he liked that one too.
|
but does your dad watch drag race... that's the most important!!
