There is a free demo of the first part. It's a cool RPG...

That, and I'm busy being an officer for my alliance in the game. I'm in charge of documenting scores for my teammates, so we can track our progress and work on being the best of the best.

In our first event after reforming from our old alliance (where we consistently were not placing on the boards), we ranked 187 at the end of the event. This event, we're in the top 110, and were as high as 84 yesterday.

Tam I am 10-29-2016 07:13 PM

See? LOL

Den 10-30-2016 10:56 PM

we're working on getting as far up the ladder as we can, because if we can get into the higher tiers, then we'll get more of the main prize for the weekend. Even if it ends up giving most of us a whole lot of duplicate bots, that's still a LOT of resources and upgrade materials.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I have read everything since my last post, but can't brain good replies because of headache, so just pretend I responded appropriately! lol *hug*

I think this is a first for me. My head and eyes hurt much, but I'm still cheerful.

Tam I am 10-31-2016 07:40 PM

I'll have to see if I can find someone who wants to trade sometime. I've got Falla's Wish...

Tam I am 11-01-2016 08:03 PM

What did she wish for?

Den 11-01-2016 08:18 PM

Tam I am 11-01-2016 08:36 PM

Exactly! At least, here in the US, that is.

trystan830 11-01-2016 10:14 PM

true... i think other places also have a thanksgiving too... but here in the US, it's at the end of november.

also, den, yaay NaNo!

Glitch 11-01-2016 10:24 PM

Thanksgiving is actually my favorite holiday. But not because of the holiday itself but rather I just really like baking turkey.

Potironette 11-01-2016 10:30 PM

I love Christmas colors <3 (shows up in lots of reds and greens)
Thanksgiving's a little difficult because the colors aren't as set. I guess it's like a rooster, with lots of browns, a bit of red, and maybe a tiny green feather tucked in somewhere?
In Canada, Thanksgiving's passed I think.

Yup. It was back in October.

trystan830 11-01-2016 11:22 PM

XD I wish I could keep it that simple this year, but nope. going to the boyfriend's and if things play out right, I'll be eating dinner with his family actually at the time they eat, instead of just after everyone's finished.

Lawtan 11-02-2016 09:34 AM

I like Christmas and weird colors - so: Red, Green. Vantablack, Pink, etc.

(Tend to not really look forward to Thanksgiving or Christmas much anymore...family issues tend to make traditions more tiring/sad than happy)

On another note: Enjoy Speculative Dinosaur Humor

Tam I am 11-02-2016 03:55 PM

I like the Christmas colours, and wanted to cheer myself up. Thanksgiving's over here, like Den said.

And the only Christmas tradition I have is dressing up my avatars and playing Christmas events online. lol

Potironette 11-02-2016 06:12 PM

My family doesn't celebrate Christmas or Thanksgiving XD. I just enjoy how everyone's putting up decorations and things throughout the month.

Rainbowfox Ari 11-04-2016 07:40 PM

My family BARELY celebrates Thanksgiving, but does celebrate Christmas.. sort of. It's kind of a tossup from year to year, whether or not Mom feels like putting things up. Dad doesn't much care either way, but Mom's extremely picky when it comes to Christmas. She DOES and DOESN'T like the whole season, and it's hard to tell which until December arrives.

trystan830 11-04-2016 07:49 PM

we celebrate ChanaYuleMas - which is Chanukah, Yule, and Xmas. my parents celebrate chanukah, and we get together usually at my aunt's, but this year we're meeting at my brother's. it's an extended family thing and we all give gifts. for xmas, we go to my inlaws, and we do a pollyanna where we all pick one name and that's who we get a gift for. Yule is the winter solstice. we don't really do much for that.

as for decorations, there's some of my halloweenie things in the mix (because everyday is halloween!) and we put up lights. my younger daughter liked putting them up last year. we have a tree too. and a halloweenie tree we put some xmas balls on. XD

<-- is really Jack Skellington in disguise?

Rainbowfox Ari 11-05-2016 10:00 AM

Your holiday sounds fantastic. I celebrate Xmas with my family, but I also have a personal holiday that I celebrate this time of year - it starts just as Halloween ends, maybe a little before - depends on the time of year and the weather to be honest.

Xalneas is sort of a mix between Yule and Christmas, I guess? Gifts are - whenever possible - hand-made or hand-chosen, and they don't have to be OBJECTS. The idea is to celebrate the family and the friends that have made the year special, and to go that extra mile for them - because they'd do the same for you. As the year renews, thus do our friendships renew sort of thing.

I know, it's silly. XD

Potironette 11-05-2016 12:09 PM

What's the difference between Christmas and Yule? I didn't realize Yule was a holiday until now.

Xalneas and the pollyanna thing sound really nice and warm <3

My mother doesn't like Christmas because she thinks that decorating and giving gifts is too much of a fuss. I don't celebrate Christmas because I don't really have anyone to give presents to...I mean, I have my family, but other than my sister I don't have anyone I'd be happy in giving a present to =.=;;

trystan830 11-05-2016 03:37 PM

well that sounds pretty cool, Ari!

edit: Xmas is an Xian construct, really. it celebrates Jesus' birth. Yule celebrates the return of the sun - it's the winter solstice, the first day of winter - which is the longest night. after that, the days get longer - the return of the sun. some people burn a Yule log all night, to ensure that the sun will, in fact, return. seasonal greens are brought inside to decorate the house. and gifts can be exchanged as well

Potironette 11-05-2016 03:47 PM

Ohh that's really interesting! I knew Xmas was Christian (Xian means Christian...right?) but had no idea anything other than Chanukah was celebrated around the time.

trystan830 11-05-2016 03:49 PM

yep yep!

Lawtan 11-05-2016 04:27 PM

Old Norse: Dísablót - Valkyrie/Disa's Celebration (sacrificial/religious)

Roman: Saturnalia - Saturn/Chronus's Feast (sacrificial/gift-giving/festival)

Anglo-Saxon: Mōdraniht - Mother's Night (sacrificial festival)

Germanic Celts: Yule - Winter Solstice (gift-giving/festival)

Alternative celebrations: Kwanzaa (African-American), Mawlid (Islam), St. Stephen's Day/Boxing Day (Christian)

Essentially all in the time from Dec. 21-28

Potironette 11-05-2016 04:33 PM

Oh wow, that's really cool. So many holidays around that time of the year! There's something special about the winter solstice :o

Tam I am 11-05-2016 06:11 PM

Trys, have you ever tried doing like the Munsters do?
