Not really because I would have to actually look stuff up and then figure out how to set my computer to type in Japanese. I've got too many papers at this point to have time to do that.

Kanji's only one part of Japanese. Even I use a dictionary for more than casual conversation. (And I'm dropping to English here because I'm not sure how to express this in Japanese. :P ) Not knowing a lot of kanji doesn't mean you're bad at the language. The important part is that you're trying to learn!

This one is a lot less likely to saddle you with an obscure term, and you can even ask it to restrict the search to common terms (although the "common" description isn't consistently applied).
