Yep, though I get splinters a lot when the wood floors break off in huge chunks and stab my foot.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 08:07 PM

oh jeez, how old is your house?

Potironette 12-19-2015 08:08 PM

I dunno really. I think the building is around 100 years old or so. Maybe a bit less. 75 years maybe?

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 08:09 PM

hm, my house is about 70 years and th floor is hella smooth, i dunno what's up with that

Potironette 12-19-2015 08:12 PM

Hue, I don't know either. But it's an apartment so maybe it's from the wear and tear of many past occupants? The floor is filled with pockmarks from who-knows-when also.

whoa! O__O

that sounds awful!

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 08:20 PM

so maybe it just was treated poorly?

Potironette 12-19-2015 09:26 PM

It's a stormy winter this time! The shiny lights are so pretty >v<
Treated poorly? The flooring you mean? Hrm, I don't know since the history of the building eludes me. Maybe though, since the floor isn't smooth at all. Nor is it shiny.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 09:28 PM

well old floor gets super smooth from wear and well maintained is shiny from waxing and buffing and lacquering XD

oooh, any pictures?

Potironette 12-19-2015 09:37 PM

Waxing, buffing, and lacquering @~@ The floor just gets swept. I can take a couple of pictures.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 09:43 PM

cool~ no snow here so it is interesting to see it for others XD

Imgur works wonders, though it's kept as a link because I'm on an iPad.
If it isn't clear, the black spots are places where the wood has peeled off XD

Interesting to see snow for others?

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 09:48 PM

imgur is down for maintenance so i cant see your stormy lights XD

Potironette 12-19-2015 09:52 PM

Imgur isn't doing maintenance for me :o
Ahh I meant your avatar has stormy lights :x

I took pictures of my wood grain floor. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of winter last year when I was storming xD. This year is really warm for me.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 09:53 PM

oh XD oops!

Potironette 12-19-2015 09:59 PM

Hrm? I think I see your title changing from "wark wark" to other things. Are you changing it right now or is it the random posting titles?

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:02 PM

i only changed it once XD it has been like this for a couple days

Potironette 12-19-2015 10:05 PM

Oh, oups. I keep thinking it's different every time I see it. I think the thought that 'it's different' added up to give an impression that it was changing every day :/

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:10 PM

nope XD buuut some users who have not picked a title have ones that reflect their post count

Potironette 12-19-2015 10:19 PM

I guess mine reflects my post count then! I'm "Lazy" right now.
Anyways, being lazy, I'm going to retire for the day. I'm falling asleep on my keyboard x'D.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:20 PM

Ireland 12-19-2015 10:21 PM

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:22 PM

Ireland 12-19-2015 10:25 PM

Chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, corn - all good and yummy.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:39 PM

nice! we had cheesy sausage, mashed potatoes/butter and green beans!

Tas 12-19-2015 10:46 PM

I'm eating risotto for dinner!

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:46 PM

yum, sounds good~

Tas 12-19-2015 10:50 PM

it's delicious!

and my mom even made a small batch with vegetable broth instead of turkey, just for me!

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:51 PM

that is nice of her ^^

Tas 12-19-2015 10:52 PM

yesss

she's been quite supportive of my vegetarianism.

littl3chocobo 12-19-2015 10:57 PM

hey, nothing wrong with a basic level of respect for others -nods-

Ireland 12-20-2015 01:40 AM

I wish more people felt that way.

littl3chocobo 12-20-2015 02:15 AM

yeah, not having basic tolerance for lives that are not your own is pretty gross

Monorea 12-20-2015 03:32 AM

And vegetarian food can be pretty good too. We are thinking of having less meat this christmas and more dishes and meals that doesn't have meat, eggs or things like that.

littl3chocobo 12-20-2015 03:59 AM

it totally can be though i use so much dairy in my meals i would be kind of unhappy trying it myself XD

Tas 12-20-2015 04:03 AM

you can be vegetarian and still eat dairy; I do. I just don't eat anything that requires the animal to be slaughtered.

littl3chocobo 12-20-2015 04:07 AM

i have heard it both ways -shrugs-

well, that's because there are vegetarians who do and who do not eat dairy; you can be either one.

if you want to get specific, I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, meaning I still eat both milk and eggs.

littl3chocobo 12-20-2015 04:11 AM

this is fair

Tas 12-20-2015 04:11 AM

I also sometimes eat fish, but I'm trying to ease myself off of meat entirely.
