Monorea 12-16-2015 10:54 AM

Long time since you last saw Hero?

Lauv Keiko 12-16-2015 05:24 PM

Yes, it was a looooong time.

Monorea 12-16-2015 05:30 PM

Well there seems several people coming back , i think chocobo said she was away for 2 years? Maybe? I forget?

Lauv Keiko 12-16-2015 05:47 PM

Yep, they were. As I was. I left two years ago and I kept lurking.

Monorea 12-16-2015 05:53 PM

So what happened two years ago that caused a migration?

Lauv Keiko 12-16-2015 05:56 PM

I got busy with my life and some other things too...that only needs to be talked about the PMs

Monorea 12-16-2015 06:06 PM

Well i am glad you are over it and people are back.
All in time for a very merry christmas.

littl3chocobo 12-16-2015 08:44 PM

i am a he and yeah XD so many people were away for a long time, but tris is loads better now<3

Lauv Keiko 12-16-2015 09:03 PM

I just call you they, is that okay?

And yes, it is loads better.

littl3chocobo 12-16-2015 09:06 PM

not really but i can't really stop you

Lauv Keiko 12-16-2015 09:09 PM

Well, I use they because it's gender neutral. X3

littl3chocobo 12-16-2015 09:43 PM

some people don't like to be called 'they'. it is considered lazy and/or disrespectful when their gender has been proffered

Lauv Keiko 12-16-2015 09:45 PM

Well, I shall call thee with your preferred pronoun then *nods*

littl3chocobo 12-16-2015 09:47 PM

thankyou<3

so today was productive<3 i send my grandmother a box through the post and she let me an awesome message on my phone XD apperently she ate a bananana and a chocolate bar right away XD

Lauv Keiko 12-17-2015 02:49 AM

Awww~ that's so sweet of you, bubu.
While my day has been so....boring...

Monorea 12-17-2015 06:50 AM

Well then chocobo is a he, sigh i hate remembering stuff.

I usually just go for she first because the least amount of people get offended by that.

littl3chocobo 12-17-2015 11:48 AM

-shrugs- i have enough trans friends/family that i am accustomed to having to mind my s' X''D

Monorea 12-17-2015 12:37 PM

I have some too but no one ever minded which one i called them *shrugs*

Tohopekaliga 12-17-2015 02:51 PM

It seems to me that there are more "she"s than "he"s on avatar sites, so it's a reasonable assumption if you're unsure. :P

Monorea 12-17-2015 03:39 PM

Exactly and men on the net arent as offended being called she as women are being called he. At least that's my experience.

littl3chocobo 12-17-2015 07:19 PM

assuredly they mind but you have to understand that it's a very uncomfortable thing to /say/ you mind. a person's need to be recognized as something is much more acute when it is a fight and a struggle to get said recognition

Monorea 12-17-2015 07:23 PM

You can't say that for people you don't know chocobo.
Some just want to be something for themselves not for others.

Gallagher 12-17-2015 07:36 PM

I have to admit, I don't like making a whole deal about my preferred gender. it is really awkward to talk about. I didn't even like clarifying it for cho. there are definitely a lot of people that are uncomfortable having to correct others at all, let alone as a constant thing. it's a good rule of thumb to do your best to always remember, even if they don't get upset when you mess it up. and if all else fails, just ask again.

Tas 12-17-2015 07:50 PM

of course, chocobo makes it difficult because he doesn't have a proper avatar that people can imply his preferred pronouns from. :P

that's why I just try not to make any assumptions about anyone.

littl3chocobo 12-17-2015 08:06 PM

i actually actively say 'he' right away and even go out of my way to offer my gender in public places so it is easy to find out without having to ask. i want to make it so i am not making people uncomfortable in that department, hell on most site i have been on i put it in my signature

i have actually been debating putting it here too since there are so many newbies

Tas 12-17-2015 08:12 PM

sometimes I correct people when they get mine wrong, sometimes I don't.

just depends on how I'm feeling that day.

littl3chocobo 12-17-2015 08:13 PM

totally fair~ when i was a teen i was so andro(and dressed so andro) people would confuse me often so there would be days where i would correct and days i would not bother XD

Tohopekaliga 12-17-2015 08:14 PM

I always figured you reveled in people being unsure, AC.

yessss! >:D

well, less so lately. That was fun, back when I was less sure of my own gender, but now I generally prefer female. There's a reason I made that fairly unambiguous with my username and avatar here.

Tohopekaliga 12-17-2015 08:58 PM

Ah, alright. :P

"Anna Claire" definitely leaves no questions, unlike "Lysis."

Tas 12-17-2015 09:02 PM

yup, you got it! :3

littl3chocobo 12-17-2015 09:04 PM

and 'chocobo'? XD or is that something only a bill can discern?

Tohopekaliga 12-17-2015 09:05 PM

Admittely, cho, I thought you were female before you told me otherwise.

littl3chocobo 12-17-2015 09:06 PM

well i /do/ talk like my grandmother and dress like a great grandmother XD
