I'm known for darker avi's, so when I wear bright colors DK thinks the apocalypse is gonna happen. XD

...But the traditional Japanese horror stories around that usually have those kimono wearing dolls that will have bright colors on them or consist entirely of bight colors. Dark colors have nothing to do with being evil. :o

It all comes down to the culture.
Need to remember where in Japan black, red and the likes are seen as colors for celebration, they are seen as something completely different in america and the uk. White is the color of death in japan but in the west it's seen for purity and life.

Yep, very true, which is why I said that. XD And traditionally the groom was the one to wear white and the bride black because it was a sign she was intrusting herself to him and she would take him with all his short comings or something like that anyways. :3

Actually in tradition a bride wears a white over kimono and a red lower kimono. The white signifies she is dead to her own family, during the ceremony she removes the white layer and reveals the red layer showing a rebirth into her new family. The husband normally wears black.

Ah, I was talking about traditional weddings in Europe. XD But that's interesting about the Japanese one, I knew their kimonos for it were white, but I didn't know about the red layer underneath. :o

Yep, so the meanings behind the attire itself is the same, but the colors for those meanings are different. XD But if you think about it dead people even in Europe would be wrapped in a white cloth in ancient times, so why black became a thing I don't know. And even at hospitals and stuff more recent in time they used white sheets to cover the dead, not black. And black is worn to morn the death of a person (seen this in animes as well just don't know why). So it kind of seems conflicting in the Western World and thus America. x'D

I think because of the black death, and I believe you are thinking of a death shroud; anime's don't always depict tradition unfortunately and many anime that do have deaths in them show it more western than eastern.
