I know. They're not growling or hissing, but it's a really intense kind of wrestling and pawing at each other. I break them up whenever they start. I need to google around and see if I can figure out why they've started doing it.

I don't know what to say about the fighting kitties... Hunter and Kahlil would get into tussle that seemed pretty rough, but they still loved each other and we think they were just playing.

when pets are domesticated- they tend to act like the puppies or kittens or litter of whatever act of normal animal society. or something like that .o.

Archaic Kitten 02-16-2011 10:48 AM

my cat and dog fight a lot... owo play fight... but my cat bites my dog... cause he's a... erm... he was a stray so he wants to feel like the alpha animal... XD

Hikori 02-16-2011 10:56 AM

actually that's kinda interesting. a dog wagging his tail to be happy is interpreted by cats as wagging their tail to be aggressive. which causes them to run away if the beast is bigger-

also dogs have a tendency to want to give chase when they spot a beast moving swiftly

i've always found that interesting... didn't know if alot of people here knew of that though...

Archaic Kitten 02-16-2011 11:01 AM

heh.... My cat is bigger than my dog. XD
My cat wags his tail when he's happy... his tail is stone stiff when aggressive... or annoyed...

I know of the different behaviors in dogs and cats. My mother is a vet and has taught vet medicine. =)

One of our dogs is a rottweiler mix, and she's TERRIFIED of our little ragdoll mix kitty. XD

Hikori 02-16-2011 11:22 AM

cute XD

Archaic Kitten 02-16-2011 11:25 AM

Lol. My dog was afraid of my neighbors dog. My dog was twice it's size, but that little runt could bark up a storm and teach a lesson! XD My dog isn't afraid of a labrador but he's afraid of a chihuahua....

Growing up, my grandmother had a dog that had no tail. She would wag her whole back end to make up for it. She also smiled which looked like she was going to attack you unless you knew her.

Morning!

Hikori 02-16-2011 11:26 AM

well smaller dogs tend to be more aggressive than bigger ones- but we're partially to blame for that. when it's smaller we tend to think it'd be nicer and baby them a little- getting them used to being allowed to get away with most things .o.

Archaic Kitten 02-16-2011 11:27 AM

the runt wasn't babied, though. >_> he's a lesson teacher. He set an aggressive dog straight. XD And that dog he set straight was his father.

More bites come from small dogs than bigs dogs. XP

But I love when they wag their butts! XD Mom calls it butt-dancing. Kaoru does that, like, she keeps the front half of her body as still as possible and the butt and tail just go crazy!

Morning Rousi. <3

.rousium 02-16-2011 11:32 AM

Haha, yeah! It's pretty cute and just endears them that much more.

Pie. Writing my paper on that devil article. >.<

Hikori 02-16-2011 11:33 AM

my sister's boxers have their tail docked. she didn't clip their ears though. the only reason she had them docked was because she had a friend with a boxer and a small house- the tail was soo powerful that when the boxer got happy- it would smack against the walls. sorta cute but it caused alot of injury to the poor boxers tail.

but yeah- the butt shaking thing they do is funny and cute =P

Archaic Kitten 02-16-2011 11:36 AM

My moms dog wags her butt when she wags her tail.... but then her whole body begins to wag. XD
