hello. o 3o
|
I am back
And I am really just here to say that I will be gone for a week because we're going on vacation to Sweden :3 |
lol we should meet, jk xD
|
lol sure ;D
If you're anywhere near Småland that week anyway xD |
Hey all.. I woke up from my nap (I was sort of woken up earlier after only a couple hours of sleep to go to Benedict's Grill, the best breakfast place in town like EVARH and.. yeah)
@DS talk earlier, I'm too poor for anything new, so I only have a crimson and black DSLite, and from dropping it when ti was open twice, my L Button doesn't work, it's the only button that doesn't work, and it's my second DSLite (first was stolen out of my purse at school a couple years back.. *cry*) I'm thinking of going to the pawn shop and.. just yeah. Seeing if I took in like $25 or so along with my DS if they'd let me trade in mine for one of theirs (they have like 5 or 6, I'm guessing people ditched them there when the DSicame out, or similar :P) |
meh lol nope...I don't visit smaller towns. ;B
|
lol thought so... well my parents love small towns and nature... so that's where we are going ^_^; (plus I don't mind too much either... )
|
I'm a bit of a city addict, but I was raised near Portland, Oregon ;)
|
I hate small places. :s

I grew up in a town with.... 2-300 people... it feels like home to me... but even I admit it can get too small!
|
I enjoy big cities. I've never actually lived in one, but I've loved living near one and being able to visit regularly.
|
I actually don't like big cities that much... too many people.... humans... *Shiver* I feel rather uncomfortable when there's too many people and too much stress =_=;
|
I'm the type that hates small groups of people, I feel uncomfortable around em.. yet I am bold and okay in like, say a mosh pit, I feel all happy and.. I dunno I sorta feed off the emotional energy of big groups :P
Small groups are too intimate and I have problems trusting people/intimacy issues ;~; |
But you trust me, Lucifer? D: /sad |
I am not good at trusting people either...
Hmm I guess people react differently ^^; |
For me it's paranoia. I feel like if I'd be stuck in a small place I'd never have the chance to make the friends I want and such...that I'll miss out getting to know people. If I live in a bigger town there's more to pick from and exploring. There could be great people in small towns but I'm a travel person and I don't like people who doesn't wanna search and explore like me. They sit on their ass and say "It's good, we got no problems here so we never have to leave". It grosses me out a little. If you're sick or old you can't do much about it but I don't think young and healthy people have any excuses. You don't even need that much money to at least travel around your country. That would be enough proof in my eyes. And maybe when you both have money you can travel to other places. I've been travelling all my life so I just can't imagine a life without it. I don't wanna get a house and kids and crap you gotta look after all the time. Pets are okay cause they are easier getting someone to look after a week or two while you're gone. Sweden is small, there's not enough people here and most of our land is fucking forest. Not that much to get here. But I hope there's something left or I'll die of boredom...
|
I might have misunderstood you,and sorry if I did, but just because you live in a small town, doesn't mean you don't want to travel?
I even went to New York and found the city pretty awesome... but still I just like the peace and quietness of small towns. Actually I myself love to travel as well, and living in a small town doesn't stop me doing that at all (not having a driving licence and not having money is what holds me a bit back, but it doesn't entirely stop me) |
It could mean that. At least where I live. People who have moved or grown up in a small place usually hates strangers and doesn't like city stress. Or when they do see strangers they are all like "omg a new person gotta come over with pie to see who the are!". Well, then again it's fading away. Young people today usually moved cause of getting a better job and school. duh But in the past that was the way it was, at least how I got it. Well I guess it doesn't apply a lot then. Kinda 50´s? Then again I hear about people who have been to small towns and the people were like "omg I saw a nigger! Never seen one before". Awful.
|
I think.... around here at least..... it really depends a lot on age and how people have been raised.... I mean I come from an island with only small towns (I mean our biggest town you can get through in 5 minutes) and elderly people at max want to spend a day down in Flensburg... but most young people really want to travel the whole world (admitted I have different preferences when traveling than them, since they mostly wanna party or shop in the big cities, and I am very cultural interested.. but still)
|
I think Swedish people can be a little more boring then. Everyone just wanna go to Thailand...to basically hangout with other Swedes, eat pasta, party, shopping and bathe...ppfth...
|
lol that's why the elderly go to Flensburg, it's so close to Denmark, that a lot of the inhabitants there talk Danish anyway...
Oh and we have the Thailand loving people as well here When that big tsunami hit Thailand, the only thing on the news was how many tourists had died.. Nothing about how a lot of people now had lost their homes and living and whatnot.... =_=; |
Yeah... <___< Plus many of those people lived like crap before the tsunami. Now they have nothing, some have slowly gotten things back.
|
Yeah
It seriously pissed me off, that the only thing the medias seemed to care about was that some Danish people died.... can you be more self centered. I mean of course it's sad and all, but still no one in Denmark has to live without a house in poverty (because homeless people in Denmark choose to be homeless... which I find really odd.. why can't you just swallow your pride and go get the money they state gives to you for free? I mean no matter how embarrassing it must be to be on help from the state, I'd still prefer that to living on the street =_= ) |
