Welcome, to the Library...

Oh, the Misc. Shelf is a tad...sentient.
*The shelf grumbles in its sleep like a dog*

And yay! Stargate fans!

SparX 06-28-2016 06:43 PM

I was listening to it
and my hubby serg looked over at the screen and asked " is that stargate galactica"
and I just
I cannot be more disappointed right now
Those are 2 COMPLETELY different shows XD

Lawtan 06-28-2016 07:23 PM

...Yes, SparX's husband. It's a plot about parasitic androids who developed sentience and go through wormholes to other mythology-based worlds in order to destroy the remnants of humanity.

Just like Doctor Trek! I hear he gives jelly babies to redshirts.

Lawtan 06-28-2016 07:28 PM

...I sort of want to just mash up every sci-fi series I know of, now...

Terminator: to the Future!
Shadow Reboot
Warehouse Eureka
Transformers: Alien
The Beastrix

...

SparX 06-28-2016 07:53 PM

You know that doesn't sound like to bad of a show lol

Lawtan 06-28-2016 08:45 PM

True. Actually, when I looked on the wiki to understand the "Furlings"...I think that sort of describes them. Concept art has them be these "possessed armor" creatures, and they made the Goa'uld...even though the joke was they were Ewoks...

xD

SparX 06-28-2016 11:30 PM

XD ahh lol XD

You were talking scifi so I had to download a movie that's been on my brain for a while. Only 2 hours left until I can watch Frank Herbert's Dune!

trystan830 06-29-2016 12:02 AM

yaaay! i love the Dune'verse, SparX!

SparX 06-29-2016 12:05 AM

We all know that the spice must flow.....
I had a hard time reading the books as a preteen but XD Love them regardless lol XD
I haven't watched this since before my dad left, so over 5 years lol XD

trystan830 06-29-2016 12:08 AM

by the time i read the books i was a teenager, maybe even college, i don't remember.

also you have a mini-Cthulhu on your pancake.....

SparX 06-29-2016 12:10 AM

He seems to be intrigued by my buttery goodness

trystan830 06-29-2016 12:11 AM

actually, i think it's adorable!

SparX 06-29-2016 12:23 AM

Monbon called me a sea pancake and I thought why not lol XD

Bah only at 81% D: I just wanna watch it before dinner

trystan830 06-29-2016 12:25 AM

LOL! have you read Lovecraft? i have, i love his stuff.

i have the original Dune movie.... on video tape! XD

SparX 06-29-2016 02:22 AM

D: the movie wont play on my laptop...it keeps showing up as just blank green blah D:
A few yes, but not nearly as much as I SHOULD XD
We had it on dvd but he took it with him D:

Lawtan 06-29-2016 03:45 AM

>.> Have a DVD of Dune.

Cthulhu eats Waffles! xD

trystan830 06-29-2016 10:03 AM

@SparX - bah, that was rude of it. come on over to my place and i'll see if my video tape still works. XD

@Lawtan - Cthulhu eats Waffles? you've asked Him personally?

SparX 06-29-2016 11:25 AM

Now half my images are blotchy green D: blah I need to clean my computer now lol XD
I also love waffles. However I am not an actual pancake fan. They look amazing, but having them every sunday REALLY kills it, especially with parents who don't waste so your still eating them for Pb and J lunches on tuesday.....

I may just buy the dvd off amazon next month when I have non-planned funds lol

trystan830 06-29-2016 11:27 AM

your computer is still rude. XD

i like both pancakes and waffles! nomnom...

Lawtan 06-29-2016 08:08 PM

>.>

This is interesting to me

Tam I am 06-29-2016 08:19 PM

Well, my 'Stargate' fanfic DID have X-gene positive people in it...

Lawtan 06-29-2016 08:31 PM

New sci-fi series: In a world where the Ancients ascended to debate with the Q Continuum, Goa'uld are enslavers, and the Cylons have merged with the replicators to create the Borg...sentient transforming robo-suits are controlled by military pilots, computers have evolved to have a cyberspace cover over a deep hacker underbelly, and a rogue Astrophysicist rides in a living ship with a host of humanoid alien criminals to hide the secrets of wormhole-based weapons of galactic destruction...

In this massive world, the God-Emperor comes from the planet of Spice to fight the legions of the Warp for the soul of Mankind...

(Anyone care to continue?)

trystan830 06-29-2016 08:52 PM

Rygel? i suppose he was humanoid..ish. XD

Lawtan 06-29-2016 09:11 PM

...Rygel is the evolved form of the pokemon "Politick"

...Trisphee is it's own sci-fi thing, isn't it?

trystan830 06-29-2016 09:13 PM

Rygel is a self-centered pain in my you-know-where! XD

...You know, some of that sounds like my RP multiverse. Ask Den.

Lawtan 07-01-2016 02:58 AM

And that is where Tam and I think alike. xD

Tam I am 07-01-2016 03:51 PM

LOL I'm also known to stir everything together on my plate.

Lawtan 07-01-2016 03:55 PM

>.>
Most of my favorite dishes are variations of that. Like eggs mixed with a bunch of stuff (generally spicy - the spice must flow...to fight off allergies)

Tam I am 07-01-2016 04:46 PM

LOL And I've been known to mix nearly everything (including scrambled or soft cooked eggs) into rice.

Den 07-02-2016 05:15 PM

I'm planning on going up to Omaha sometime next week, after I take pop cans back for money, and getting noodles and rice. I only had enough money on hand the last time for one thing, so I ended up not getting noodles, and got a blueberry yogurt drink that came with a robot cellphone dangly. :3

Tam I am 07-02-2016 07:31 PM

Oh so that's where he came from.

Today I found out that they still make the lovely glass washboards like I want.

Den 07-03-2016 02:55 AM

Huh. I thought I told you where the robot came from... guess I forgot.

Tam I am 07-03-2016 04:26 PM

LOL Nooope. We were too busy being grouchy at each other, I think. I'm still sorry about that.

Right now I'm reading the autobiography of the woman who played Nellie Olsen. She was one messed up kid.

Lawtan 07-04-2016 02:10 PM

Happy America's Holiday, everyone. The day (week around here) where we shoot explosives into the air in colorful displays and annoy the rest of the world (okay, mostly Tumblr) with our obsession over an over 200-year-old event. Now, onto the 500+ year-old celebrations! *carries in a bunch of wasps* Bee charm practice! You do it right, you ward off wasps. Do it wrong, you get stung. Muahahahaha!

0.o That tradition sounds quite frightening, but unfortunately sounds like something someone could talk me into after ALOT bribing.
I'm trying to figure out what to give to my cats to help them tonight... idk if cat nip would help and I ran out of money before I could be the de-stresser I usually give them...
