Why? At the end, Everybody dies. The only thing that might not sink if you name it the Titanic would be your first born child, and even then...

I mean prior to the drowning. And if I knew that would happen, I would bring stuff to be prepared.

I can somewhat understand where you're coming from, but the problem is that it's been proven that most of the people who died the night the Titanic went down died mere moments after falling into the water. It was cold enough to slam you straight into shock.
