ah well I almost got ruby, wanted to but after I got it I found it no longer worked, was a used game so had to return it... now checks used games before I get them...

I think my favorite versions were up to heart gold soul silver
though I sorta wish I got black or white for the eevee thing I heard about, being able to catch them and all...

I used to HATE gen 5 and I never touched it.
I used to be/that/ person.
The person who was like "ewwww an icecream cone pokemon" "wtf garbage?"
And then I realized. Wow. How incredibly stupid of me. Im being so ignorant. Judging something before I triedit.
So I did. And I LOVED it.
Those pokemon I bashed turned out to be great pokemon and all had cool things about them.
But of course not everyones the same.
But I /do/ know there are more people out there. Mindlessly hating it without knowing. Spewing crap about how stupid a garbage pokemon is without knowing.

You can still get white 2 or black 2. Just make sure its 2 because you cant do that in white or black(despite being named practically the same. They are different games)

Id say try emerald. You get the best of both worlds with ruby and sapphire. X'D I have like 5 ruby version and like 2 sapphires. No clue how we got so many.

There's also diamond pearl and platinum.

ah I got pearl and when I had misplaced some of my games and couldn't find them for a while I ended up ordering in platinum, it's supposed to come in this week or next week

I raised way too many eevees on my pearl game ^^;
at some point I'm planning to restart pearl, after some trading, since I didn't take the time and reset the game from the previous owner got the game originally to get glaceon

also there is a /cheat/ that's not a cheat.
You get a pokemon of a different nationality(like Japanese) and breed it with another pokemon of a different nationality(like American)
and the ratio for getting a shiny is 1/2000 instead of 1/8000 or whatever it is lol.
Still pretty crazy but not as crazy.

well we all learn. Luckily enough I have 4 brothers 3 older than me and we all have played at least 1 pokemon game
eldest brother played red only. 2nd oldest has played all games. 3rd played like 3 or so ive played them all and youngest has played them all
so im pretty good at knowing almost everything and even if something slips my brain I have 2 others who are super pokemon players to help me out or refresh.
Not going to even tell you how many pokemon games my family owns. (Not even counting sore games like mystery dungeon or conquest ect)

Mystery Dungeon games and Ranger games...bleh. They are dumb to me =A=
