We need a revolution. The internet makes Congress and the Government as a whole... not counting the Judges completely unnecessary!
I just find the government is more a motion to go through rather than anything.
If we move the democratic method to the internet we can have a true democracy that almost anyone has access to! And if other nations begin to join in, the entire world government can be held constantly... with everyone having there own voice.
Yeah, or someone will hack it and then it just becomes a huge issues.
It's near impossible to hack the government sites as they are now. Just change them into a semi-public forum where your Social Security number is the username, you have a password, and then you have a screen name for talkign with others.

Walmart gives jobs to people, and pays good money for what they do. Also, keep in mind that the USA is not a Democracy, it's a Republic. Likewise it is easy to say give a voice to everyone, but the fact is that in the USA everyone has a voice already. To say that "we need a revolution" against the greatest government set up in the history of man kind is foolish, because it is also unnecisary. It's simple to say "I'm angry over this new internet thing!" but keep in mind, the very reason it did not pass is because this is the USA and people dont play ball with that kind of bullshit. There is absolutely no need for any kind of revolution, especially not the idiotic shit people like to complain about these days. I have seen what true corruption is, and what real oppression is. There are reasons people flee from Communist and Socialist hell holes to get to the USA, and that is because it isn't a socialist or communist hell hole. The best thing you can do to make the economy better, because it is the economy and not the congress that is the cause of the shit we have now, is to make sure Obama is not re-elected. If you want a Revolution to make things better, that is your first step. |
Luna; the problem is if someone takes your social security number, which isn't hard to do. Falsifying documents isn't entirely implausible.
Also, people aren't voting based on the issues and their views. The representatives aren't doing their job, yet we're too stupid to vote them out. They're driven by money and we allow it. We have the right to voice it but nobody does. Several people I know say "Oh I just don't vote because I don't know what's going on". That is disgusting excuse. Also it is wrong to say that you vote for the woman because she is, or something like that. That is just being stupid. |

As for the Obama hatred, I personally don't see why everyone complains about him so much. Not to mention, I dislike how the majority of America is never happy with who is in office, whether or not their promises have been fulfilled. Ah, but that's just rambles from the peanut gallery. I actually meant to come in here just to lounge. d; |
-Stares at Fallen a little curious.-
Why're you naked? Aside from the obvious accessories. |
I know that my Idea needs work... It's in the idea of an idea stage. Not even to pre-planing. But I still believe that our nation would be ran better as a true democracy then as a democratic republic. Giving people a direct hand in the government would make people more likely to try and learn about the issues.

It worked badly for the Greeks. I don't remember too terribly much from the class as that was the beginning of the semester, but the problem with a true democracy is that little gets done, even more so than what we have now. The Greeks had courts with a jury of 300 people. We can't mimic the Greeks. It's just not a plausible solution. To have to have everyone vote in on the bill, as is not everyone does. To ask the public to do that would be a problem. There are enough people who vote via popularity rather than plausibility. This would overthrow. Not to mention this is the generation of "me" where they just live off welfare and would rather the government take care of them than to do something for themselves. It would be the downfall to allow them to have direct power.
...I guess you're right... My thoughts work in my head due to the fact that I don't really know any lazy stupid people. I stopped interacting with them before high school.
I see them and hear about them all the time. I had a friend who she turned down a full time job because "Well I can't work and do part time student". even though she was kicked out of college TWICE and so DSS denied her when they heard this. Serves her right. Plus my mom works as a community mental health nurse and a lot of them are just lazy.
Ouch... I want to feel sorry for them.. but I don't
I don't. I don't feel sorry for her one bit. Last I heard her mom is ready to kill her ass because she had to move home, and sits around smoking pot with no job, no money etc. And that she will move in with her "bestie" whoever that is at the current time. No job, no money, that won't last long.
Like I said I want to feel sorry for them. The motherly instinct within me says too...but I don't
Nothing in me says to. If you're offered a job, then you take it. You need money, you take the job and make the best of it.
I'm okay with anywhere but Walmart... and even that has been worn down to the point where my want and need of money is greater then my hate for the Mega-Corp of my Home Town.
I just assume money is money and I have bills. I'd turn tricks if I need to.
*blanch* HELL NO... Unless I was turning tricks for hot chicks...
Hey, like I said, money is money. If I'm in need I'll do what I have to in order to support myself.
*shudder* I'd rather stay as far away from the object between a man's legs as problem.
-Shrugs- I enjoy it. As Margaret Cho said, "I'm bisexual. I like men and women. I like transgender. I'm what they call GREEDY."

That makes a frightening large amount of sense, Fallen.
@Lio: I can understand Bi... somewhat... but *shudder* |
But what? o_O I can take and dish out.
I can't. I can kiss femboys and mtf trans, and possibly a really feminine guy but that would be where I draw the line.
I had a mtf trans girlfriend once. . . Worse relationship ever. The hormones made her a crazy biotch.
My ftm boyfriend was awesome. I wish we kept in touch because I think he would be happy to see I finally am in a happy place. ^_^ But I gotta sleep for the night. Night guys. |
I'll keep my oppinion's to myself, especially in regards to Bi-Guys.
In regard to girls, well lets put it this way- the phraise; "Sorry, but I'm dumping you because I like this girl more than you" puts a very bad taste in my mouth. Granted that was 8 years ago, but still. |
Nope.
Not at all. |

What's up tonight

Croni; I'm not like that. Whoever I'm with is who I am with. If it isn't working out I break up with them, but never for someone else. I'm not so revolting as that.

I'm concidering joining the military when I graduate, or NOAA.
@ Lio: Ok. I'm a firm believer in judging based on marit and not on race, color, blah, blah, blah. I just have personal ideals that I'm not gunna go into etc. in open forum. |

Croni in military? >_< |
The National Oceanic Atlantic Association. Or something like that, lol.
I'm in homeland security, but I was told I could work for the Coast Guard or such when I graduate. Funny thing is; I have a mild phobia of the ocean xD. |
